Morning Star

Yummy breakfast on a Saturday. Prices are good. Ordered the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy and it was under $5. Everyone else in my party got omelettes and said they were really good. I took off one star for the wait, it was not bad for us, but it got longer for the people who arrived after us. Not the waitress's fault. She was moving every minute. One waitress on a busy Saturday, and they really needed someone. Classic family diner. All tables no booths. Very clean.

Not the fanciest place around, but a good time was had by all. We came here because I was tired of picking the spots, and the boyfriend wanted to come here and I guess it's been around forever. It's not a huge place and located within a strip mall. You probably would pass it if you weren't looking for it.The place is sparsely decorated, and very bland on the inside. LOL. There was one server and cook working, but they seemed to be a very efficient team! Menu is slim but has really good options for breakfast and lunch. I went with the French toast and boyfriend had an omelet. We both really loved our food. Service was good to!I will say, there's a very regular old guy group that seems to frequent here, and we noticed right away. Don't try to pull anything funny when their around, because they mean business. Not scary by any stretch of the imagination, but these old dudes love coming here and everyone seems to know each other well.I would return here in a heartbeat but probably not be a regular. Too many other options around, but a good home made breakfast or lunch is legit here!

Fluffiest pancakes ever! My sausage omelette was delicious and buttery. Also, on my way to and from the restroom I could see how super CLEAN and organized their kitchen is! Great service and very nice as well, I am happy that I found this hidden gem!

The coffee tasted bad and the half and half creamer was old I believe because there were bits of creamer floating on the top that wouldn't stir in. The Omelette was just okay but had a strange taste to it at first. The English muffin had a weird tasting butter on it. The hash browns however were great! The service was just okay. We seated ourselves and waited until the server noticed us, which in her defense was the only one handling about 4 guests. They were scallop style and I really enjoyed them. At first I really wanted to rate this place two or three Stars because the hash browns were still really good and the food was just below average but after seeing the total rating of 4 stars I had to try and balance it out to a more fair rating. If you want better diner breakfast you're better off going to Haney's Family Restaurant just around the corner on Van Dyke.

Food was excellent! Tried an omelette, hot roast beef sand. And a club sandwich. All were very good. Their roast beef was amazing! Service was quick and efficient too. We will be back!

I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and a Dr. Pepper. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and juicy. it was one of the best sandwiches I had in a while, and it's inexpensive (under $10). Also the prices in the diner are different from what's online.

Better than your average diner fare. Food is prepared with a bit more love! Nailed the comfort food on a cold winter day.

Called unknowingly 5 minutes before close and still received great service. Food was great, fast and isn't ridiculously priced in 2022, I will definitely be back here for lunch and possibly breakfast.

Been coming here for almost a year now and the ladies all know my order when I come in, food is always delicious. I clean my plates every time. Great service, great conversation, great people. Special thanks to Gus for making the best breakfast.

Nice waitress and great service. Good food & portion it comes with. Actually affordable! I will definitely go back. Only downside is that there is not much parking space and it's a very small dining area. I do not recommend it for big groups of 5+. Every food pic you see, just forgot one more other dish but, I paid around $40 for all of it. NOT BAD!!! That's very affordable if you ask me.
