Monroe Grill

This was a good go to for celebrations but since Covid you never know what you will get. And it also depends on the staff that night. When they are seasoned professionals, they keep track of the customer flow and you get seated promptly. You get menus and drinks on time, and someone tells you the specials. And when you get the newbies- well, it's like a toddler got to run the daycare. Nothing goes right and you wish you had gone elsewhere.Take your chances...you never know what you will get! It will be a memorable night! Or at least one you will laugh about for years to come!

Don't waste your hard earned dollars here! A group of us had dinner and we all were dissatisfied with our meals. Baked potato was not done, vegetable's were over cooked and lacked flavor, ordered a prime rib meal and they served over cooked dried out pork, ordered a large chicken salad and got lettuce that was brown and dried out chicken on it with no other items because menu said egg, tomatoes etc. wait staff were rude when we mentioned our concerns. One person ordered cup of soup got charged for a bowl. No adjustments were made on the bill and staff just did't care, the table that just sat down across from us heard our issues and luckily they decided to leave and go somewhere else. Not sure how much longer this place will be in business.

We visited Monroe Grill for the first time today and we had breakfast. My husband had the special and I had the piggy skillet. We both enjoyed our meals, staff was friendly and attentive. We will be going back.

The food here seems too good to be true, but it's not! The ribs are so tender. They fall right off the bone. The servers are so friendly and the food is amazing and reasonably priced. This is our new favorite restaurant in Monroe !

Pretty good place. Good variety and moderately priced. Good portions and friendly staff. Frequently have to ask for refills on my pop. Seems the wait staff doesn't come and check if you need anything often enough. Have had a couple of my takeout orders incomplete as well and have had to explain to the waitress on the phone what a loose burger is and still got my order wrong it's on the Menu. The food tastes good though. They now serve Alcohol. It doesn't compare as a coney island compared to Lafayette, American, National, and Leo's in my opinion or even Benny's locally. On a side note, no one wants green peppers in their loose burgers. No Coney Islands serve them that way, I have been to tons of coney's and have never got them that way. Just at Monroe Grill.I know they close at 8 pm. I called my pickup in at 725 pm. They call me at 740 pm asking where I'm at because they close soon. I told them I was on my way and be there within 10 minutes. I got there to pick up my food and I mentioned to cashier that I know what time you close and there was plenty of time so don't call and see how much longer I'm going to be. She said well I always do that when it's getting close to quitting time. I do not take it as a kind gesture. I took it as hurry up so we can get out of here. You are no longer allowed to vape in the restaurant at all or even at the bar counter like in past and you are not even allowed to vape in their bar next door!

GREAT first experience! Breakfast was delicious. Very clean inside, with great staff members. Coffee stayed hot and filled.Our meals : (1) western omelette, hashbrowns and bacon .(2) French combo, French toast, eggs and baconBoth meals were great. Will definitely be back.

Has an extensive menu and everything is great on it. Never had a bad meal. Would highly recommend.

We carried out the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and cabbage rolls. Each were delicious! Would definitely go try the restaurant.

Took my family here for dinner and my daughter who ordered the fish and some in law who ordered the spinach pie . Both were not edible . When we tried to speak with the manager she argued with my daughter about how great the fish was . Instead of apologizing for the issues with there food . It honestly was the worst experience we have had a resultant in YEARS!!! I would NEVER EVER Recommend this place to anyone . As we were leaving i walked past the manager talking about my family . So unprofessional ! Can't wait to tell the rest of my followers about this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

No stars! Fish was not cooked properly,pot roast was nothing but fat, spinach pie was burnt and spinach dip was pure liquid, we called the manager over who gave us a hard time regarding our complaints about our meals, which we didn't even touch. Then when they thought we had left, my friend caught the manager talking crap about us as we left. DO NOT EAT HERE, highly unrecommended! Terrible food!
