The vibe is always nice and relaxed but upbeat. The server and hostess were very nice. We had the Zen roll, sizzling rice soup to start. The roll was okay nothing special. The soup was great, very flavorful. The Chilean Sea Bass in Banana leaf didn't come out in the banana leaf but it tasted amazing with the curry sauce. The vegetables were cooked to with great snap to them. The Hong Kong sizzling filet was very tasty. The Sapporo Beer was better than the vodka tonic, it was ice cold in A frosted mug. Perfect

A few of us came to have dinner for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance like we did because it was packed! Service was so kind and the menu is extensive. I didn't order any cocktails but I stole a couple of sips from my friends and they were very tasty and pretty strong! We all got some appetizers, I split the bali maki with my boyfriend. The presentation was neat and the meat was tender and the marinade was very yummy. We both got noodle dishes and they were very good with a lot of veggies and protein. It's a very pretty restaurant and they were decorated for Lunar New Year. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and they brought out ice cream with a sparkler and a mask for her to wear. Very fun and delicious experience!

Worst pad thai I have ever had. It was soupy! This is my left overs. Cocktail shrimp. Random "meat" I tossed it out. First and last time I will ever go there.

I don't know if I have ever felt more insulted by "food". The waitress did her job. She sold the sea bass. One of the most expensive items on the menu. It was fishy and rubbery. No one dared to ask how the food was because they already knew. I did comment to my partner that there is a severe lack of people who would know good Asian cuisine in this restaurant. I was not wrong. It's interesting that they stay in business when truly authentic Asian cuisine is a couple miles away in abundance. Was also a bit rundown and dusty. First and last time here.

We came here to celebrate my future daughter in law's birthday and she chose it because it had a lot of vegetarian and seafood options and a great reputation. For appetizers we got calamari and lettuce wraps. Both were absolutely delicious. For dinner I got the Spicy Vegetable Udon Noodle which was delicious but I didn't think it was very spicy. Other dinners ordered were almond boneless chicken, sesame chicken and lots of sushi. Everyone loved their dinners and brought home leftovers. When the waitress came and asked us if we wanted any dessert, we all said no, but I commented that one of the people in our group was having a birthday so she brought out a bowl of ice cream with a sparkler in it and a fun mask that the birthday girl put on for photo purposes and you can see it in my photographs All in all, this was a lot of fun and great treat

Love this old school place. The sunken bar is my go to spot. I come here for dishes from my youth. Love the food, spicey mustard is spicy. Great sake, it will catch up to you. They take reservations which is great.

The food was awful and over priced! I got the small combo 9pc and it was a garden bar! Not with the money at all. I felt like I ate an appetizer. Then I order the seafood war bar. Sounded good, then I realized it had 3 shrimp, looked liked slicer scallops on it and fake lobster prices on it. Good thing I didn't take clients hear or I would have lost the deal. Now, I find out on Wednesday nights they turn it into a dance place. It was packed with 20 to 30 some year olds dressed to get, well hooked up. No WAY would I EVER come back here!!!!

Amazing!! Food always consistent and delicious ! The staff is always friendly! The owners are welcoming and the establishment is very clean!

The best Chinese food in Michigan. Maybe the Midwest. Great staff. Great service. Large portions. And fine art. Tablecloths.

Mon Jin Lau is still one of the top Asian restaurants in the Detroit area. Great dinner and service!
