Mike's Tavern

So as my tour of the general Flint area continues, I think I might have found my favorite dive bar type of place in the area. It's actually pretty sharp for locals type of spot, really space inside, nice patio outside, fantastic long bar for people to sit at. The staff was super friendly and fun and they had live music too. All in all a great time.

It was a game night so it was busy but the cook kept coming out to watch the game and bitched about how many tickets behind that he was... because he was too busy trying to watch the Lions game.The kicker was.. he salted the fries enough to cover the roads for the entire season. They were so crystallized that they were literally inedible.The cook spent more time in the bar than in the kitchen. We went on game night because the place was half empty... now we know why.

If I could leave a negative star I would. This place is horrendous. Hey, just a heads up, Mike's tavern not only turns you away with LEGAL service dogs (yes, actual service dogs, not the fake kind), but they scream at you and tell you to literally f$#$ off and call their lawyer as they escort you out the door. The owner was black out drunk and out of his mind.

We recently discovered this bar. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and clean environment. The menu is small but the burgers are wonderful! Service is great also!

Heard good things about this place and the food it has.No beer menu.Bartender didn't know the company nor type of beer Fat Tire was as she thought it was an IPA by Blue Moon. Bartenders sit back and gossip about their personal lives and other people.Then to top it off, they had no food. The entire reason I finally came to check it out.Could be a cool place, but it's not for me.

The atmosphere and staff are truly amazing. Not to mention the food, best burger ever.

Mikes Tavern was very accommodating for our retirement party of approximately 30 people. Quick and friendly service with TV's and pool tables. Lots of indoor and outdoor space with good bar food available - would highly recommend!

For some peopleThis place is awesome. They have a very loyal client base. Mike's is owned by the same person who owns brick street. Personally live brick street this place not so much. The tap is extremely small (same as brick street). This is a place you come for drinks. Very small food menu. The manager was vaping behind the bar and spend the entire time talking to a woman at the bar while we were there. I can understand why some people love this place but for me I just didn't care and won't be back.

Worst bartender I've ever encountered. Chris is rude, slow, and completely unwelcoming. He should not be allowed in the service industry.

Fun place but horrible service especially from the female bartender, she is not doing a good job for Mike's Tavern.
