Midnight Temple

This was my first time going to Midnight Temple and it was a great experience! The staff was kind and welcoming and the food was delicious! They had great music and a great ambiance. Not my favorite Indian food experience. The vibe of the place was a little weird. As if it was trying to be a nightclub and not a restaurant maybe that's the vibe that they're going for, but it wasn't what I was expecting. There are a few little details that I found slightly annoying. In particular the chairs it seems like every table is equipped with some flimsy folding chairs that felt like they're gonna crumble underneath you. There were a couple of booths around, but maybe those would've been better.We also had some issues with the service. Even though they're only about five people in the restaurant during our visit, it took quite a long time before we were able to finally place our orders. Once the food arrived, it was quite a long time before we saw the waiter again. He never checked back to see how we were doing, and it was difficult to get water refills.The food itself was pretty darn good. We got chana masala and chicken tikka masala. Along with some paratha. Everything was really tasty, but the overall experience wasn't good enough to make me want to go back for more. They're too many other good Indian restaurants in the area that would be easier choices.

Bit of a snafu trying to make reservations, and when we walked in we didn't need them anyway. Apparently this is for a later set- we got there at 7, and people poured in after. Unfortunately no draft beer or wine as menu suggests - but had bottle beer and tasty cocktails. The wait staff take a team approach to waiting on you. We decided to eat ALL the breads - 4 on menu. The samosa wasn't what we expected - it was loose with some pasty so not in pastry. The everything else was amazing! Saag, lentils, goat and delicious chicken. So much food- all could sample and also some to take home . I really liked the laid back vibe and music was not so loud you could still talk.

Food decent with a nice level of spice. A romantic feel. Very nice atmosphere. I Like the fact that they have a full bar. Music. Comfy seating. Nice date night. Beautiful decor! Will return for more!

Excellent and attentive service, I love the decor and ambiance, the food is delicious, and the drinks are tasty. The vibes are really good here. Spacious interior. I love how colorful and fun the space is!My lentil dish was so good! My friend's chicken dish was sizzling on a skillet and so tender. The garlic naan was lovely.I enjoyed my refreshing mango lassi.

If you're in the mood for delicious Indian food with a side of great music, this is the place to be. The vibe is fantastic--cool and laid-back, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I tried the Chicken Tikka and it was full of flavor, with tender chicken and a perfectly spiced sauce. To top it off, their specialty cocktails are a must-try; they really complement the meal. Definitely a great spot for both food and atmosphere!

Had a great time at dinner over the weekend. This plane is located in the heart of Eastern Marker right next to Detroit Distilling Co. It had a very modern Bollywood vibe with gorgeous saris up the stairs and then cool decor and neon in the main dining space. The tables are set up like classic divans which adds to the vibe. The menu offers small plates and large plates and a lot of vegan and gluten free options. Drinks were delicious (though IMO not very strong). We ordered a bit of everything: Pani puri, vegetable Manchurian, vegetable pakora, their signature dish which was bhindi (okra), fish curry, saag paneer and Channa masala. We also got a variety of their breads: naan, chapati, paratha and puri. Overall the food was great! Two of the curries we got the hottest spice level and they had a good kick to them. Service was a little slow but they're really new so I think it will improve with time. But the staff was super friendly and accommodating and always make sure water was refilled. Can't wait to go back!

Had chicken tandoori for two. Very good option. Shared puri and naan. Both great. Ambience romantic. Not a huge place. Staff very kind.

Fun! Friendly! Different! Delicious! We went on a Thursday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. When you get there the entrance itself is beautiful! The vibe and decor inside the actual restaurant is incredible! The service was amazing, they made it feel so welcomed and fun! They joked, made us laugh, we had a great conversation with the owner and his father. (Side note: if you get a chance, read about them because what he is doing is amazing!). The staff great. They were so attentive. They checked on us, made sure we were good, kept us smiling and laughing. (Small side: They did forget one of our dishes but I will say they were very busy so it was understandable and they 100% made up for it with the rest of the experience) The food... OMG!!!! It was soooooo GOOD!!!! We got the Amma's Chicken Curry, Tikka Masala, Samosas, Garlic Naan, and the Chicory Coffee! Overall we will definitely be coming back! Thank you Midnight Temple for the experience and we look forward to another ex experience!

Excellent food!! Will definitely be returning! Service was attentive and we did not wait long for food. The decor was awesome and was even prettier in person!!
