I am so happy to have found this gem. The breads are fresh and very reasonable. Lisa is great always has a smile on her face when you come in.To me it is so nice to purchase your fresh bread from a local bakery.

They are only open certain days of the week like Weds-Saturday, please call before you go. I was happy to see that they served the closing of a lot of business due to the Pandemic. I did notice that they are putting a lot less onions and poppyseeds in and on top of the onion rolls however, they are still very fragrant, soft and delicious. I prefer to have them stuffed with corned beef. If you are in the area stop in and purchase some.

I bought a loaf of Miami Bake Shoppe Pumpernickle Bread at Papa Joe's on August 11. Although the bread had a date (presumably a use-by date) of "8 14" on the label, it was inedible on August 12 -- INCREDIBLY DRY and also tasteless. This is my first and last purchase of anything from the Miami Bake Shoppe. When they correct their recipe, they may also want to correct the spelling of "pumpernickel" on the label.

This seems to be a family owned business... and their onion rolls, which are sold in many of the local grocery stores, are top-notch. We happened to stop in at the outlet, and tried several other products. The cookies looked nice but were completely flavorless. The kichel was heavy and soggy...instead of crisp and light. A lemon meringue pie looked lovely; the meringue topping, made at the bakery, tasted like a toasted marshmallow, very nice, but the crust was prefab, and the filling tangy but out of a can. So, five stars for the onion rolls, three for meringue, zero for the cookies. They obviously do know how to bake, and have given up on making bakery quality cookies etc. Too bad.
