Mezcal Express is a delightful treat right in my neighborhood. I'm was so excited to try them! My friend and I met for lunch on Saturday around 12:30/12:45pm. It was not busy and service was speedy! You order and pay at the counter then they bring your food to your table when it's ready. My friend ordered a bowl and a glass bottle of Sprite. I got the asada fries and a chicken street taco. Both were delicious and flavorful! The fries are easily big enough to split. The guacamole had big flavor as did the asada and chicken. I loved the horchata Agua Fresca! It was light, not overly sweet, and have some great holiday vibes to it (cinnamon and such). It would be refreshing any time of the year though! We both left full and happy for sure. Staff was helpful, kind, and friendly. Parking is easy overall, prices are reasonable, and the food/drink options were plentiful. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I've been twice in the past month and have loved everything I've tried! This is a bit like fast casual. You order at the counter, find a seat and they'll bring the food out to you. For the prices, I'd like to see real silverware. That's probably my only gripe. The plastic stuff doesn't go with the overall feel of the place and is flimsy. They have birria ramen, which my husband was so excited to try! I have ordered the bowl twice, and both times, they were awesome about leaving off or putting on the side some items I don't eat. My husband put my side of pico in the ramen and said it made it even better, especially because it had a good amount of lime in it. They use fresh-carved corn for the bowls, too. I've never been to a restaurant that does that, it was sooo good. I hope they can keep that up even when it's out of season.Rice and beans are delicious. Jacob got the birria tacos on a second visit and they are LOADED with meat. For $4 a pop, you're really getting your money's worth. Overall, portion sizes are great and high quality. Usually at Mexican restaurants, you get one or the other. My husband had gotten two of the agua frescas, which are pretty pricey at $6 each but he liked them both (pineapple mango, very light and refreshing and hibiscus, which was a touch sweet for his liking.) They have an entire wall of drinks to choose from. With as much cooler space as they have, I'd like to see something like Cherry Pepsi or Cherry Coke and maybe a couple more sugar-free options for those who can't have or don't prefer sugar. There are two single-stall bathrooms that appear to be handicap accessible, but I didn't use either so I can't confirm. The space was recently renovated so I imagine it had to be brought up to current ADA standards.Service has been quick and extremely friendly both times we've stopped in. It was even fast enough for an hour lunch break. This is definitely a place we'll be frequenting. (For anyone reading, it's completely halal. No pork and no alcohol. Their proteins are from Saad Meats.)

This place is an exciting addition to downtown Dearborn- authentic Mexican right downtown! There is plenty of seating inside this jewel toned, colorful cafeteria. It's bright and spacious inside unlike the experience at traditional Mexican restaurants, which tend to be darker and feature more booths. I guess that's what makes this Mexican "express." The employees were super helpful, offering us physical menus for easier viewing than the mounted menus. Staff went over their recommendations, and we went with their specialty- Birria tacos- with all the toppings. Deeelicious! The meat was flavorful and moist on its own, the dip being just a bonus. The flavor on the chicken tacos was good, although I'd say the meat was a little dry. As for elote? Can't go wrong with elote. I think I would've liked a little more tajin and a slightly larger portion, but it was satisfying enough. We splurged and got dessert- the flan was amazing. It is rich and dense, more like a cheesecake than others I've had. Worth the calories- Go here!

Okay for the prices I was not really impressed. We tried the birria eggrolls the birria ramen and the elote & tacos. I have to say our bill was like $75 bucks which was really lacking flavor and portions were more of a lunch size. Sadly we were quite unimpressed.

Food came out fast and amazing. The elote was amazing and the asada was very flavorful. Definitely recommend if you're in the Dearborn area and are craving Mexican. Waiting about 5-7 minutes after offering. Restaurant was clean and well kept and was nicely remodeled.
