Melvindale Coney Island

Cozy little hole in the wall.Nondescript but well kept. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Service was very fast. We had breakfast. Pimp had 3-Egg Breakfast. Came out fast and hot!I had a ham and egg sandwich. I'm particular about my eggs, but our server (Megan) made sure they got it right! LOLWe will definitely be back!

Good food quality. Fair prices. Great service. Food was well cooked. Food was served promptly. I'd definitely go back.

Is it the Glass Onion Griddle Banana Nutella French Toast? No. Is it the best Coney Island breakfast I've ever had? Not quite. Does it beat the Comfort Inn and Suites complimentary breakfast? Hands down. And let's face it, where are you going to get toast, two eggs, meat and hash browns (grits or pancakes) for $3.85 until 11:00 a.m. everyday? Nowhere! It's as good as I'd make it at home and they'll even season it if you ask them to (I do). It's a diner that probably hasn't been renovated in fifty years but I'm not there for the atmosphere. And that adds to the charm! The staff is polite and efficient. It looks clean enough and there's plentiful parking. I always get bacon, wheat toast, hash browns and scrambled eggs. It's ready within ten minutes and I'm never disappointed. I highly recommend if you're in the area and I'll be back.

They served me and my boyfriend a great big breakfast for only $4-- 3 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 1 ham, hash browns and toast--yummy!The service was friendly, the food was hot and delicious and the atmosphere was decent. Not bad for a coney. I'd definitely come here again. Thanks Craig M. for bringing this coney to my attention!

Stranded due to flooded roads near my office, I stopped in here for carry out. BLT was decent and cheap, but the greek salad was tossed after one bite. Lettuce tasted like pesticides. Also, I was not thrilled to see a regular bring his non service dog into the place, where it sat down near the prep area. Is that even legal? Gross.

Very small Coney Island in Melvindale Michigan. One of my Baptist pastors at the Pentecostal holiness church I attend said that this was his favorite restaurant but from my estimation it is basically a greasy spoon. And it's a clean place. So, If Walk in during the early morning hours they open at 6am and there will be about 10-15 blue collar people in sitting around for their breakfast drinking coffee and socializing with each other. Their food or produce delivery comes from Micelli and Oldfield. Looks like a two person operation one cook and one waitress I don't see a bus boy or a dishwasher. It's a good value .

If you want fine dining you should go someplace else. If you want an inexpensive breakfast that's served hot and to your specifications and you don't care much about the ambiance of the place then this is your place. I've never ordered lunch there but the chili dogs and chili fries look good too.

Love there breakfast everything I have ordered had been amazing but the mini breakfast is my favorite. Perfect portions and they have the best grits I've ever ordered out.

The go to spot after arriving at the DTW airport on the way to the family homestead. Comfort food, a decent selection of craft brews along with the domestic beers, great sweet potatoes fries, pizza and sandwiches. Stop by and give it a try.
