Stopped here for breakfast and was not disappointed! Super cute spot with all of the classic breakfast goodies. Service was super friendly and food was very good!

Our omelets were delicious. Elevated from standard "coney" type food. All of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They refilled our coffee several times.

I'm not generally a fan of Coney Island restaurants. I find them to be very mediocre. This isn't the case with Mel's Cafe. I walked in skeptical, but left as a fan! Our service was good, and very fast. I had a salad that stands out as my best salad at a coney type restaurant in as long as I can remember. This is definitely a stand out place for a quick meal that's still really delish!!

It's my regular place for breakfast/lunch. Love the food and friendly service. Homemade soups and specials that are really special. They are not on the daily menu.

This place is has fun diner style decor with huge breakfasts, booths and stools. Looks like everyone keeps coming back. Many breakfasts to choose from, we read they whole menu and finally my husband just asked for what he wanted- no problem - he got the breakfast he liked. There are special items- pumpkin pancakes this time! We had eggs, he had French toast, I had potatoes, 4 pieces of thin style crispy bacon and rye toast. Decaf coffee fresh made, thanks for that! I am full of good food and ready to go to work. Not crowded but many couples, families, friends. Fast service with a smile!

Ordered take out breakfasts for two Saturday morning. I had the eggs Benedict with hash browns... They eggs Benedict entrée was quite good...not the best I ever had but very tasty. the hash brown could've been a little more crispy for my taste.... they may have been more crispy initially but lost some of their crispiness because of the moisture that always seems show up in take out foam packaging.My wife had a cheddar cheese omelette with hashbrowns and whole wheat toast. She thought it was quite good.This little place does a land office breakfast business and was very crowded when I picked up my order... So much so that I felt somewhat at risk for Covid because it was so packed and everybody was talking so loud and projecting their voices so they can hear one another. I did wear my mask which I was thankful for.The bill for the two breakfasts was $20 including a two dollar tip.I would have no problem ordering breakfast again, or trying a lunch, at this restaurant.

Went again this morning. Great food. Most of the staff is very friendly. It's really small but worth the wait if you have to.

First time checking out Mel's and I was very impressed. Very neat and clean inside. Friendly employees. And most importantly our food was delicious! I will definitely be back.

Great food, especially breakfast, really nice people food comes so fast even when busy the service is awesome, and the place is very well designed with a motorcycle ambiance.

Food and service is always great! A must try. I have gone there many times for breakfast as well as lunch.
