Maverick’s

Went around 8pm on a Thursday night for drinks and apps and they did not disappoint! It was still a bit busy at that time but no issues with getting service, drinks or food. Our server was amazing and seemed that the team worked well together and helped each other out. They have a late night menu for after 8pm on weekdays that had great deals! We had a few green tea shots which is a popular shot that many places make but I must say, these were the best I've had. We also had a Long Island and the sangria/margarita combo which was delicious! The brussel sprouts were cooked so well with a great sauce but the garlic aioli that it's paired with was the true star of the show!!! We dipped our fries and even fish in that aioli because it was so great! The fish and chips were cooked well and very meaty! We had such a great time and experience that it will now be in the rotation of places to visit! Loved all the TVs and the openness of the space!

I was here with a party of 7. The service was about average for a large party nothing spectacular. I ordered a green tea drink which was pretty good and then I also ordered boneless (spicy honey bbq) wings with fries. I didn't really care for them and they were cold. The texture was tough and I don't care for tough chicken. I will probably give them another try if I was invited.

First time at Maverick's Woodhaven - fabulous experience. I commend Vitoria K. Our server awesomeness. Katie and I ordered a flight on beer tasters each - kuhnhenn bc DRIPA, SEMOH Dutch Lunch, Fair State bc Biggie Jumbo, Broad Leaf Sour Fruit (passion fruit). All great brews - well balanced.I ordered an app - roasted Brussel sprouts to share with Katie. They were perfect and delicious.I ordered fish and chips. Consisted with three delicious large fish pieces on a bed of fries. Awesome.Enjoyed the ambiance of pictures of family dogs among the tasteful sports bar and tvs about. I was most impressed with large amount of brew taps and well stocked bar of libations. Of course the staff friendness evident.My daughter and myself will enjoy returning again!

Mavericks was a bust. One of our group showed up extra early to get a table and order a fancy drink. Don't get his drink till after we got ours. The drinks were ok but weak. The server was inexperienced and overwhelmed. The food was unremarkable. For a "Mexican" place it was missing the key ingredient I love to see at a Mexican restaurant - Mexicans!Typical chain restaraunt. Won't be returning.

Always great service! Food is always tasty, and great presentation! Well stocked bar and the place looks just as good!

I was very excited to realize that Maverick's was Downriver! I usually go to another location, but either way it's worth the drive. I took a friend who'd never been and we both enjoyed our time and meals. She had the BBQ crispy chicken sandwich and tots. The BBQ sauce came on the side so you can put on as much as you want, which is good because it has a spicy level that grows as you eat it. Nice pickle slices, lettuce and tomato on an artisan type bun. Her tots were Crispy, so much that they were hollow!? I had the California Bowl with steak, a favorite, but this time got 1/2 greens and 1/2 rice. (I don't recall this option wasn't offered at my original location? Hmm.) It was delicious with: greens, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, ample steak bites and a spicy mayo type drizzle. There's also a teriyaki type sauce on the side for an excellent savory boost. I had a mule made with Jameson's Orange and I find it very tasty and refreshing. Can't recall my friend's beverage. The layout of the restaurant is nice, with: higher tables for 2-4, larger capacity booths (6-8?) longer table for 8-10, plus "outdoor" seating in larger windowed dining area + a true outdoor patio (pet friendly!) along the front of the building ( 4-6 tables maybe?) oh and seats at the bar! Decor is simple: polished concrete floors, darker wood for tables, chairs, bar and black metallic detailing/ fixtures. Accent walls with stone tiles, pictures of Jack Russell Terrier mascot/ namesake Maverick, doing fun things. Numerous larger screen TVs with various sports, videos on but the noise level is mild/ moderate; depending on how busy or where you're sitting. I've sat in the windowed dining area during a busier dinner time and the noise level is higher from lack of "soft" surfaces to dampen sounds. The place is handicapped accessible throughout, barely a threshold to enter. Facilities are not unisex. The whole place was clean, plenty of space for people to get around (walking or wheelchair). All staff were very professional, personable and attentive. I'm so happy to have a location closer to home and work!

The service was amazing and the food was even better. My boyfriend and I had the spinach dip for our appetizer and we split a fish and chips for our entree. The fish was fresh and delicious and the best I've had in a while. The French fries were crispy and perfect. Our server was wonderful too! We will definitely be back. Oh and our cocktails were amazing!I think mine was called the raspberry lemon martini and my boyfriend got the Malibu mule. But they were delicious, and made perfect. Thank you Mavericks for helping us have a successful date night!

We had paid by credit card and the waitress had charged our card $30.00 more after we had signed, good thing I checked my charges when I called it was the same girl answered and said oh ya I remember waiting on you I caught it and I'll fix it she got caught so ya she will fix it. We had left her a 27 percent tip what that was not enough!

Great selection of drafts and the good has always been good! Our favorite is the Buffalo chicken pizza. Always good and tastes like an actual pizza shop. TVs could be a little louder when games are on.

It's a sports bar, and for a sports bar I was pleasantly surprised with the service and menu. This establishment are dog lovers as indicated from pictures, there weren't any dogs there when I went but as I understand dogs are welcome. The food was tasty (pizza, Brussels sprouts and kids meal) It's not quality or fine dining but is good for what it is. Much better than Applebees or chilis.
