The donuts here are so good, Apple fritters are as close to perfect as you can get. One of many things the good people at Marv's do exceptionally well.

The donuts and apple fritters are so good here! I've lived here in Brighton for a few years now and just discovered this gem!!! Great energy in the bakery and overall amazing sweets!! Highly recommend stopping in :)

I've only been here once. I need to come back. I love it. So many places in this area give me little reminders of "back in the day". First off, their brownies! I used to get brownies like theirs at a bakery in Madison Heights that was owned by a Polish woman and her son. They were my FAVORITE. I never thought I'd find brownies like those again and I did! I got one with peanut butter topping and yum!I also got a coffe cake which was really good! Crumbly and moist.What I liked is that they also had a deli. I hate getting deli meat at the grocery store because it takes forever. It was not too busy here. There was a staff working the deli and another working the bakery.I really had to stop myself from buying too much. This place is a gem and needs to be supported!

Had a cake from here today and it was good.I had a few decadent bites of the red velvet, white or yellow cake and the chocolate sheet cake.The wedding cake was for videos and pictures too. If you get a wedding cake from here, they will give you a free wedding topper for your 1 year anniversary, nice. The red velvet crumbled and was quite dry and not so good. No one at our table liked their red velvet, it was a fail. The chocolate cake was the better bites of the 3. The top of the first layer was a pudding. It was moist and tasty. The white cake was also good, not dry at all.

I was in Marv's today, looking for chuck roast. The gent said they were in the cooler shelf, marked as English Roast. I bought two, cooked them low and slow (225 degrees). These were TOUGH as beef jerky! Absolutely AWFUL. They're going outside to the wildlife. Normally I love Marv's meats, but don't be fooled into buying the worst roast beef ever. I'll be back, but I won't be fooled again.

Great little Bakery! They did an amazing job on my son's 1st birthday cake. It looked and tasted great!

Marv's has so many options for your baked goods and meat needs. The atmosphere is old school, but clean. They offer cakes, pastries, donuts, cookies, bread, and a whole variety of delicious fresh meat. The reason for the 4star and not a 5star review is because our first visit we had the bumpy cakes and one of them had egg shells in it. Otherwise, delicious food all around!

This was my second trip to Marvs. It wasn't super crowded at the time, but the older lady who waited on me was so rude and abrasive. I asked for a dozen donuts, then apple fritters, which she snapped "those aren't included". I said that was fine and then she told me I was over a dozen. I got to my vehicle counted and realized she actually shorted me 2 donuts!! I honestly wouldn't' have cared and only wanted to call her on it because she was SO very rude to me. I did not go back in because I didn't feel like waiting in line. She also just shoved all the donuts on top of each other. I have never seen anyone do that at a bakery. They normally use wax paper and have them kinda separated, very odd I thought. I had to ask her what a few of them were iced with and that also annoyed her. They were not marked so how would someone know! I honestly do not know if I will go back.

Always amazing food. A classic butcher shop atmosphere. Friendly service. EXTREMELY high quality ingredients. My family has been buying from Marv's for over 25 years. Thank you!

Thank you Marv's for making a delicious and beautiful looking cake for my Mom's 80th Birthday! It was the raspberry lace and everyone loved it and wanted 2nds! And the cherry danishes I bought for this mornings coffee are the bomb!
