Marine City Grill

We were seated fast but into a booth that would not meet my travel guy's belly lol. We kicked each others feet under table too. Not cool for my new shoes... way too close. We asked to be seated at a table or outside. We sat outside in the wind (my fault) but still nice. Joy took a while serving us but explained that she was seated few tables at the same time. We ordered drinks and a to go order of feta bread with added steak and company chowder. The chowder she so kindly let us sample while we waited for our order and finished up our drinks. The soup was the best chowder I've EVER had. So creamy smooth with lumps of clam (I think crab and more) Amazing!! Feta bread was delish but probably better ate inside not to go. Overall, I'll go back again for sure. Thank you Joy for being a delight and also having a Spanish coffee made for me too.

Great little mom and pop. You go there for the food and camaraderie, not the view. Not a big deal at all. It was my first visit and it was pretty apparent from the get go that everyone that walked in was a #Regular! There was hugging and good energy at every table. I'm in the process of moving while fasting, and I may have been a tad too anxious for coffee and food. Next time I'll know. The coffee was gr8, a very big deal to me. But let's talk about the corned beef hash...#NeverHaveIEver had such a delightful platter of spuds and protein set b4 me! It's was delightful AND made to order (which now I know does take a little longer,) so I had them omit the onions and green peppers, (both of which really bother me). That's a pretty big deal as well, cuz you KNOW it's not pre-made. I don't "do" bread, but I ordered a cup of sausage gravy and, yes, I smothered the hash. (Was SO hungry I did that b4 taking individual photos. Sorry abt that.) It was a large portion; more than I would've gotten most anywhere, but I managed to tuck it all away.... would've used a biscuit to clean the plate if I'd had one...it was that good.Thank you, Dee for stopping by. Great atmosphere and people and food! Just moved to area our waitress Brenda was great! Definitly found our new breakfast lunch spot!

This is the first bad review I've ever left.Dee made it uncomfortable to even sit in that restaurant, my former favorite restaurant in Marine City is one I will never be going back to.She repeatedly asked questions about my boyfriends appearance, & called it "weird." Because he was wearing nail polish. She asked if he was a dancer:I put my hand on the table & asked if I looked like a dancer. She said "well; because of your lashes you might. Are you a dancer?"Don't come to Marine City Grill in anything but a standard t-shirt & a pair of crocs, or you might be a hooker ;)She proceeded to stand at the table while the bill was being paid, attempting to make us uncomfortable enough to tip. My boyfriend is a sweetheart & he planned on tipping still anyway, but apparently it wasn't enough despite how rude she was- because she yelled "cheap!" as he walked out.I was already out of the restaurant at that point, I didn't want to sit in there any longer.

Pretty much our favorite place for breakfast when we are in marine city - fantastic food, great prices and nice people

I was there today I asked for a country fried steak and I was told you did not have them. Please consider adding them to your menu. The people work in there are great friendly nothing to complain about except for the country fried steak. Please look into it and put it on your menu.

I had a great experience today. The food was excellent. The service was spectacular. I do believe that Marie city Grill has the best country fried steak in the whole state of Michigan. I highly recommend going there asking them for the country fried steak the best in the state of Michigan I've lived in a few other states and I can say the best three states easy once again Marine city grill the food was great today thank you the country fried steak was perfect. I recommended to everybody everybody that comes submarine city needs to go to the Marine city Grill and try that country fried steak.

Excellent breakfasts! I recommend them to all of my Airbnb guest! Best breakfast sausages, biscuits and gravy! Burgers are amazing!

Don't go to Marine City grill unless you wanna be harassed for your appearance. I sat down and Dee, our waitress took our order and asked "what's this?" I said "what's what?" She said "the nail polish." "It's 2022." I said. She replies "that's just weird" ‍ wrong answer. She says " I thought maybe you were a dancer." My girlfriend asked if her nails make her look like a dancer and she says no, but the eye lashes do.. She called me cheap for leaving her a dollar tip. Well I'm usually a good tipper and she would of gotten a better tip had she not judged me.
