I visited Marigold's with my family for the first time this weekend. It's a small restaurant with minimal seating options. Luckily, we scored a table when we walked in. The tables and restroom were clean, and the service was absolutely superb! They even cleaned a high chair before handing it to us.However, as a South Asian family who loves Indian cuisine, the food at Marigolds was disappointing. We ordered Chicken 65 ($8.84), Palak Paneer ($15.60), and Lamb Rogan Josh ($16.64). The Chicken 65 looked like chicken 65, but it tasted absolutely nothing like it. The dish - along with the Palak Paneer and Lamb Rogan Josh - had zero flavor and salt. We also tried the Mango Lassi, which was delicious, and the Salted Lassi, which had a strong yogurt flavor and too much cilantro.

We love Indian food and again came to this restaurant, this time to eat inside for dinner. There was no one here and the service was exceptional. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing. It is very small inside, but we came during the week so they did not seem busy. They did have a few takeout orders while we were there. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Indian food. We will return again.

This seems like an anomaly of a review with all the positive things said about the food here. Service was great, very nice server as well as the chef/owner that came out to greet us. It's a small space that can probably seat around 15 people. But I'm sure take out is the majority of their sales as this parking lot is an absolute nightmare on the weekends. We got the gobi 65, chicken 65, chicken tikka masala and masala bhindi. They brought us a chicken tikka saag on accident as well. We ordered a garlic naan and a regular naan as well. This was definitely an off day for them; everything looked and smelled good. You could get all the flavors as well on the gobi and chicken 65, those were excellent. The sad part was our main dishes; they did not seem like they were salted at all and there in lies the reason for my three star review. It brought our experience down significantly. And I hated having to lie to the chef when he asked was everything good. I'm sure it would've been perfect with salt but it honestly tasted like there wasn't any. So I will definitely be back and I will update this review after my next visit.

I come here quite a bit now! I'm always ordering the gobi 65 I love it so much! I've seen people come here to sit and they also seem to be very excited to eat and said outloud how much they love the smell of the restaurant! I can definitely agree! The mango lassi is definitely a hit! You have to try it!

Amazing food! Probably the best "secret" in town. You have to try this place!!! Also, I've dined in -- the service is outstanding. The chef came out and spoke to us and made sure everything was OK. On that note, whether you dine in or order take out, the flavor and freshness is the same! A MUST TRY!!!!

Wow, so glad we tried Marigold. There are honestly not a lot of Indian restaurants in the east-side, so a new entrant was welcome. So far, this is by far our favorite. It is a small restaurant, and not a ton of seating. I suspect they do a good amount of carryout and delivery service vs. sit down. But, we are sit-down diners, by preference. Service was very good. Even the owner/Chef came out and chatted with us at the end of the meal. He is very knowledgeable of the menu and so was very helpful for food allergies.Food: I am celiac, and I was beyond happy that they offer Dosa (a lentil and rice flour bread). Many Indian dishes are naturally gluten free, so it's been a personal favorite for me for years. Spice levels can be adjusted, hubby likes it HOOOT, I'm more of a medium kind of gal. They have a lunch special which is a great value and allows for a fantastic intro to Indian cuisine. The food was our new personal favorite, even surpassing our favorite Indian out in Troy. So, the fact our commute was cut substantially is just a huge bonus. We definitely recommend. If you live Indian food, give them a try. If you've never had Indian, (WHY???) ....GIVE THIS A TRY!

This was the first time I've been to Marigold and won't be the last! The chef came out from the back and wanted to know how everything was. We said it was amazing! Very authentic Indian cuisine. I can't say enough about this little gem.

We decided to try the new Indian restaurant in our area. We dined in and had a few issues with the restaurant and they did remove the items from our bill. First we ordered Naan and after we were almost done with our food they said it would be another 5 minutes so we cancelled the naan order and they removed it from the bill. Next, our paneer meal had a piece of tin foil or something hard. Also, it was extremely watered down and consistency of soup. This was also removed from the bill. The rice seemed like minute rice and I would expect better from an Indian restaurant. The positives, the chicken korma and samosas were very good. My son had the tandoori chicken and he said it was very good as well. The waiter was very kind and attentive. Unfortunately, I do not see myself returning unless quality improves.
