I want to start by saying the service here isn't the best. They don't have a host and people were lined up the door, the service is very slow and it felt rushed. I had strawberry margarita it wasn't enjoyable at all, I wasn't a fan, it some weird taste in it. I had the chicken tacos and chicken egg roll both were decent not bad. I'm not sure if I would come back here again. The ambiance wasn't the best it could've been cleaner.

Stopped by for some lunch and it was our first time visiting here. We started with the Chorizo and cheese and chips and the corn fritters. The chorizo and cheese was our favorite of the 2 appetizers. Tasted great and went well with the lightly salted chips. The corn fritter were very flat and we expected more of a thicker type of fritter. We both tried a Steak Frita taco and it was very delicious, no complaint's there and would definitely recommend. I ordered the chicken and shrimp Rum Runner. It was different from anything I've had and was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were a very nice size and the chicken was well cooked. Also had corn rice, beans and guacamole. The guacamole is very flavorful. My friend got the enchiladas and also liked them. They even gave her extra sauce when she asked for a to go box so they didn't soak up all the sauce in the fridge and be dry. Absolutely will eat here again! And our server was absolutely great.

This little spot was sooo tasty!! The queso was good and came with a ton of dip. The quesadilla was cooked to perfection. The margarita? Spicy and I was feeling it after I finished the 1. I would for sure come back here when I'm in town again!

Mamacita's is a great place to stop in while in Trenton, MI. The vibe is amazing. Garage door walls take dining Al fresco to the next level. The food & drinks were served up prompt with a smile. Trenton is in need of more places like Mamacita's!

I was visiting from out of town and we decided to come here for some drinks and apps. There were just two of us so we sat at the bar. We were the only people sitting at the bar, so we had no trouble finding seats. Initially, the atmosphere is cute. A lot of windows, cute decor, bright colors, etc. Unfortunately, the initial appearance was short lived after a not so nice greeting from the bartender. I'm always extra friendly and figured she was just having a bad day, but it made things super uncomfortable. We soon found that her shift was just about ending; we knew this because instead of asking if we needed anything else, she just asked if we wanted the check since her shift was ending. I politely declined and mentioned we planned on staying. She wasn't happy about that and walked away. Luckily, the next bartender was super friendly and at least greeted us with a smile and a hello. The rest of our service was fine.The chips and salsa trio were great, and I liked that they had different types of salsa. We also ordered some sort of corn fritter, which was just okay to me. I do agree with some of the other reviewers, in the margaritas being a bit pricey, seeing that some of them come out of a machine.. but overall, a generally nice place for this area.

Good food! Mexican food that actually has some spice to it! Chicken tinga is very good (street tacos). All the salsa are very good as well. My wife highly recommends the Run Runner for dinner!

We live right around the corner from Mamacita's and finally got to try it last night. We started out with the corn fritters with chipotle aioli and they were awesome. We also ordered a pitcher of the frozen margaritas. Our pitcher of margaritas was STRONG and we loved the black salt on the rims. They had a big party of 15 coming in, and asked if we would move tables to accommodate them, we did and the waitress (Madison) was nice enough to cover the app as compensation. My wife had the birria tacos and I had the birria eggrolls. They were both delicious and the consommé to dip in was rich and juicy. Service from Madison was polite and friendly. We love it when a server is genuinely nice and not just buttering us up for a big tip. I love sitting by the garage doors and watching everyone walk by. Bathrooms were clean, food was delicious and the price was just right for a last minute date night. We will definitely return and heard that the basement will have a speakeasy in the near future!

We love this Mexican dinner in Trenton. Great ambiance and the chips and salsa are awesome. Quick to serve and decent amount with fine quality. Be back soon.

The jumbo margarita usually is delicious, but tonite I don't think it had any alcohol in it. I'm a light weight and usually halfway thru I have to pass it to my husband to finish. Not tonite. All it tasted like was the non alcoholic mix I get at the grocery store. Def not worth it plus the portions were sooo small Don't know what's going on, but this place used to be amazing.

This is by far one of my fav Mexican places. Large menu options and you can order online easily. Portion sizes are large so plenty for left overs. Garage doors are open in the summertime for fresh air. Waitresses have always been friendly and food is pretty quick. You should definitely give it a try!Highly recommend the Fat Little Donkey burrito.
