Unpopular opinion, not a fan. I came here a couple years ago because my friend said they had the best pizza. I did not like it at all and the lady cashier was very curt. Came back tonight to try it again and get a couple subs. Both subs I ordered came out incorrect and they were the most pathetic looking things I have ever seen. I would be ashamed to put a product out like that. You closed the bread and could see nothing inside of it that's how little were on these things. They also could very well have been microwaved because they didnt seem very oven baked to me. When ordering I asked if the thin crust pizza was crispy the guy said " no they all come out the same" so I just ordered a regular crust cheese pizza. It was better than last time but still not my jam. Something about the sauce, but it did taste better later cold than hot. Not for me.

I'd be embarrassed to serve the subs they have.all bread not much filling. I got a regular crust pizza that was soggy with grease.the sauce is gross also.i asked for no tomato and no peppers but there they were. Horrible food

I've gotten takeout pizza here twice and it does not disappoint. I like a crispy thin crust and that's what I've gotten both times. The salads are a bit lack luster but let's be honest I'm are here for the pizza not the veggies!They're quick, the pizza is great, and the banana peppers they use actually have some kick which I appreciate. Mama Mary's Pizza is a family operated pizza parlor located in Holland (only); their other store, on Eleanor in West Toledo, has closed. Because some uptight wanker from New York might whine about it, I'm not going to call Mama Mary's Pizza "New York Style." But I will say that here in Toledo, at least "crust wise," Mama's thin crust pizza is probably the closest thing to true NYC style pizza. The crust is not only thin, but it's crispy, too.Although there are several good options for thin crust pizza in town, IMHO, Mama probably makes the best thin, and I do mean THIN, crust pizza in the area. The crust, although crispy, can be folded, if you insist on doing so. I also like the fact that a thin crust option is available for any size pizza, even small. This is a great carb-saver for when you just want that quick pizza fix. The sauce is zesty without being overly sweet, and the cheese is always perfect in both amount and finish. The pepperoni is not really the kind that I like, however. As you can see from the picture, with cooking, they curl up into things that resemble the suction cups of an octopus...crispy little grease-containing-artery-hardening suction cups of an octopus.The other great carb-saver at MMP is the Italian Salad. It doesn't rate up there with Inky's Italian salad, or Jo-Jo's "antipasto" salad, but still, it's better than the most other offerings in the area. Unlike Jo-Jo's and Inky's, Mama's Italian dressing tastes like it's from a bottle.I don't usually comment on non-pizza or non-salad offerings from a pizza joint, (in fact, I often feel compelled to make fun of reviewers who dis a pizza joint because they bought, for example, a bad chicken sandwich there). BUT, I did try Mama's wings one time. Never again. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but they were gross (soggy, weird flavor, etc). With plenty of great wing options in the area, I would skip MMP if I wanted wings.In the end, Mama Mary's is yet another good option for excellent pizza in the Glass City.

Fantastic pizza!!! We were on a road trip from FL to MI and were just staying one night in Maumee and this really hit the spot.We had a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza. The ratios of the crust, the sauce and a generous amount of cheese were perfect! The sauce was very tasty. I cannot imagine a better pizza. Seriously.

If you're looking for a NYC slice here in Toledo, mama Mary's is the real deal! Trust me, I've tried so much pizza here while on the search. I would say this place tops out other thin crust options like Stubborn Brother, 5th Street, Home Slice. Don't get me wrong, those places are also great, but Mama Marys feels like the CLOSEST thing to a hole in the shack NYC slice. It's got the best chew, isn't overly wet/soft like Stubborn Brother, isn't overly thin like Home Slice, and has more generous toppings particularly with the cheese than 5th Street. I can't believe it has taken me 3 years in Toledo to finally try this place. It's not one that people here recommend right away but for a girl who didn't grow up in Toledo and has always loved NYC style above all else in the world of pizza, this was perfect. Help support them during these crazy pandemic times and treat your fam to a pizza night here! Combined with some of their garlic bites and dipping sauce and you really can't go wrong. They also do a great job of customizing your pizza to a tee. I was half expecting them to ignore when I requested a ranch swirl on one of the slices but they came through with that too haha. Love Mama Marys, my new go to!!

This pizza is the BEST taste exactly like New York slice pizza I remember always getting a slice of pizza when I lived in NYC.. it's truly the Best pizza in in Toledo, it also has a wide range of Italian entrees to offer other than just pizza Plus they have cannolis on their menu Which most Italian restaurants around here doesn't even have cannolis on their menu.... The Boardwalk NY style pizza w mushrooms & extra sauce is my favorite pizza on the menu the cannolis are my favorite for dessert
