This family owned diner style restaurant caught me off guard! I didn't know what to expect when I stepped out of my hotel in hopes of a bite to eat and stumbled upon Mainstreet. It was empty and that scared me, but the food appeared to be cooked to order and there were no heating lamps so that was a good sign. We found a table and ordered several different items. I had the chicken stir fry. This dish was not what I was expecting based on the name, but I was pleasantly surprised. Chicken was fresh and juicy. Served over a bed of white rice with snap peas, peppers, water chestnuts, and broccoli. Not dried out and was a very generous portion. The service was good. There was one small mix up with the ticket and the waitress caught me in the parking lot about to cross the street because she thought I was ditching the tab I guess. But we got it all straightened out and she realized I not only paid, but left her a generous tip. Smh...Overall, the food was good and the menu was pretty extensive. I mean you could order something different every day basically. Prices were good..I'd return if I stayed at this hotel again. As long as we don't have another mixup. Lol
