Mad Crab

The food was pretty good for what we went there for. It's a regular crab boil restaurant and the crab were as expected in the bags and it was pretty tasty. We went in on a Wednesday evening and we had the place to ourselves literally. It appeared clean and in good order and the waitress there helping us was very helpful. Overall, I would definitely try this place again.

I'm going to get some hate mail for this one.. it was just... OK.I did a boil bag with one pound of headless shrimp, corn, potato and sausage in the bag. I found the combination of sauce in the bag to be just too salty. All the components in the bag were great just the sauce (meh)Not one to let good seafood go to waste, I took the bag back to my kitchen and poured out some of the sauce. I added some juice from a lemon, a little garlic, onion, a dash of smoked paprika and old bay and NOW we have action. If I were to get this again I'd probably stick with just a garlic butter sauce to prevent the salty overload I experienced. This wasn't the worst by far, but Ive had better

This is take out only still. Called ahead with my order. I got the pound crab legs with the "mixed" marinade. The marinade was good and a bit messy/ spicy. Crab done just right, came with hard boiled egg, corn and potatoes. Not bad- need to come back and try more !

I had a craving for seafood and there's nothing better than a seafood boil.The Mad Crab offers a variety of seafood choices including shrimp, lobster tail, crawfish and of course, crab legs.I decided to create my own boil to include a pound of head off shrimp, crawfish, and black mussels. I chose to blend all of their spices together with medium spice level.Customer service was great - still only takeout due to Covid precautions. Even though I ordered there, my food was ready in about 10 minutes.I think it was a tad bit pricey for those 3 items but if they found a way to keep the same quality and lower their prices, I definitely think they would be even more successful.

Yummy buttery garlicky goodness from Mad Crab in Oak Park. I got the lunch special with crawfish and shrimp and it medium spic with garlic butter sauce it had a kick but was so oh so good!! Service was quick restaurant was clean and my order was steaming hot when I arrived. They also sent lots of napkins and gloves with my order which was definitely needed for the buttery goodness!! I gave it 5 because of the taste and freshness of the food!! Wish they would've had drinks displayed because I was looking for that in my rush to get back to the office. Also could've used one of those plastic bibs I walked around with butter garlic drips the rest of the day!! Hehe well worth it.

Great price, quickly prepared order with quality taste. Haven't eaten inside but looks clean. Definitely would recommend

My first time dining at Mad Crab, it was very good. I went with L. at lunchtime and of course no crowd inside, so we felt ok lunching in. L. ordered the crab and shrimp boil in cajun flavor and medium spicy. And, I had shrimp and crawfish boil in garlic butter and mild (because I'm a coward). We both enjoyed it so much that we had to make carryout orders. I've already got plans to go back -- if they keep it up, I might become a real regular.

I ordered Tilapia fish, got home to discover it was Cat fish. I don't like Cat fish at all. I am very disappointed. I called the restaurant to let them know and the "manager" said all she can do is tell the chief and if he say it's Tilapia, that's what she will go by. I know my fish and that fish they sold me was not the fish that I asked for and I'm very dissatisfied.This was my first time eating there and I promise you I will never eat there again.

horrible service wrote little ass note on door to say they were closed with pencil already previously had bad service but i went back bc of ok food

One of the best crab boils around! I highly recommend it! Fast service and attentive staff!
