Los Arcos Market

Horrible first time experience. They forgot to put several items in my bag for a carry out. Called and the girl who took the order said there were signs to "check bag". So your laziness is my fault? Noted. They would not allow me to get the items unless I came immediately back. Not turning around and I won't be back. Terrible service.

Los Arcos is a grocery store and taqueria combination. Most grocery store goods on the right side of the store, and the taqueria and meat counter separated out on the left. Burrito Al Pastor ($8.50) - This burrito includes lettuce, tomato, sour cream, onion, cilantro, avocado, and your choice of meat. I usually get carnitas, but Los Arcos Market doesn't have it, so I went with Al Pastor this time. I believe this is technically not al pastor and instead is adobada since I didn't see the meat on a spit. The marinade on the al pastor is a bit weaker than other places, not as many fruity notes as I normally expect. The meat does have a nice red layer on the exterior from the marinade. It's grilled on the flat top but didn't have that much crisp. The lettuce and tomato soaks into the tortilla and makes it soggy. Weight: 19oz. Not sure I would get this burrito again.Torta Cubana ($10.99) - The torta was much better than the burrito. Lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, avocado, and sour cream on top of a bunch of cheese and different meats. This sandwich was absolutely packed with meat, including a hot dog/sausage, two breaded fried chicken patties, ham, and egg. The fried chicken was kind of thin and tough and felt like they used older oil to fry them. They also added a bunch of cheese, resulting in a nice cheese stretch when pulling the sandwich apart. This was all on a bolilo that had a crisped exterior after being grilled, but fluffy on the inside. Los Arcos is certainly not a bad choice to pick up a quick meal but it wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

Nice Mexican grocer. Quite a variety of spices, pantry items, produce, etc. Got some Abuelita and a jar of Nopalitos!

Street tacos to-go... Get em! Fresh food and fast service. Tuesday is $1 street tacos and that can't be beat! Green salsa delish!

We love Los Arcos Market! This is the best place to come grab your authentic seasoned street tacos meat ready to cook on the flat top. Make sure to grab some to stash in the freezer. It stores very well! Grab up some of the El Milagro Corn Tortillas in the white paper package- the BEST. Don't forget cilantro & white onion to complete your mission. You will be glad to discover Los Arcos Market.

I love how I can pick out my own cookies with the tongs and put them on a tray to take up to the cashier. No waiting to be served and picking out the ones I actually want! Also, there is all kinds of delightful mexican items to use in my own cooking and there is a restaurant right in the market as well! Authentic mexican market right here in Lincoln Park!

good food but really busy and unorganized at times. But it's worth the wait if you order in ahead of time or avoid the rush hours.

They have Taco Tuesday for .99 cents per taco.Enjoyed walking down .03 miles in the cold weather.

Regardless if I didn't live right down the street, I would still get my tacos from here. The service is absolutely wonderful, very friendly people. The store is always busy. Thanks for feeding all day of us.

This place is very special. Authentic and inexpensive Mexican Food with a traditional Supermercado in the front and an excellent little restaurant in the back. This kind of place is always where the best Mexican food can be found, and Los Arcos Market is no exception. It's EXCEPTIONAL. We go there literally every Taco Tuesday, and walk out with some of the best tacos and tostatas in the world for about $3.00 per person.A couple protocols to follow: Take-out only on Tuesday. Call your order in before you show up. If the line is busy or nobody answers, don't give up. Pay cash, or the restaurant will send you to the grocery store part to pay with a credit card. This sometimes stresses folks out.The idiosyncrasies are worth it. Be patient and follow the protocols.We're fortunate to have a diamond in the rough like Los Arcos Market in our neighborhood.
