Our Livonia Lions Club has held dinner meetings here in the private room and as usual they treated us beautifully. Jose the manager and Valentina our server was amazing. Always attentive and patient with our large group. The food is always delicious and we take friends and family whenever we have the need for authentic Mexican food. A must visit.

Our go to date night spot! Food is always consistent and delicious, my favorite is the Caldo de pollo. It's full of rich, yummy broth and lots of chicken and veggies. Today I ordered Pollo de San Jose and the bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were so flavorful and filling, I will be ordering each one again on a future visit.

Not sure why such the low average review for this place. My fiance and I ordered DoorDash from here tonight, DoorDash was running a special on Mexican food. He lives in Farmington Hills and this place is in Livonia so they would still deliver to him.He got some sort of sausage and cheese dish which he enjoyed and it came with beans and rice. I was in the mood for a quesadilla and I got a quesadilla fajita, which was stuffed with chicken and veggies. They offer it with steak for the same price. It also came with sour cream and pico de gallo. We had to spend $15 each to get the deal so I also threw in some guacamole. My fiance ordered two horchatas for us and those were just okay, they were very cinnamon-y and I've had better elsewhere.Overall I would say the quality of food was very good though and I would definitely order from here again or stop by the restaurant.

This restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated within the theme. Our service was really good,too, and our menu questions were answered thoroughly. The food portions were very generous and the food was delicious too. I'd definitely eat here again - for us it was a pre-Dave and Busters game day. They share a parking lot, so it's really convenient to walk to one or the other.

Located right off the freeway, Los Amigos Don Juan sits among a cluster of dining options and large office buildings. I had placed an online order so I was in and out quickly; I really did not notice the interior of the restaurant at all.The online menu was extensive and I liked the appetizing pictures that accompanied many of the items available; they help to make a more informed decision. There were a variety of fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, chicken, and seafood dishes. On every page of the menu, I saw items that looked mouth-watering. In the end, I went with the parrillada, which featured beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp. There was a ton of protein, many of them healthy, some vegetables (tomatoes, onions, and peppers) and limited carbs.Unfortunately, the entrée was not well prepared. The shrimp and pork were fine but the beef and chicken were inedible, overcooked and tough. For the first time in a long while, I had to toss out a good portion of my meal. This saddens me for a number of reasons: wasted money, added landfill, no leftovers for the next day.Service was good (hence the stars). The server who welcomed me to the restaurant quickly collected my order and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes.

Went for dinner on 02/21/25. During dinner there were two people singing. Their singing was mediocre at best, but to top it off they did something to piss off another patron that caused a disturbance. Totally killed the whole meal for us. This so called entertainment actually ruined the meal. Which is ashamed because this place usually has great food.

What a difference a year makes!Had a friends holiday gathering here one year ago (Dec, 2023) and had such great food and service that it was our go-to choice for this year. Some of us got there early vs reservation and proceeded to wait for 15 minutes for someone to come back behind the bar. That person was nice enough and tried to help, but wound up having poor English skills resulting in another 5+ minutes to get 4 drinks right. The atmosphere was marginal, as in 2023 we were in the "back room" separated from the main dining area. This year we were smack in the middle of the main dining area and also in the middle of music trivia night -- not conducive to the friends swapping stories and holiday cheer we'd been hoping for. It took 3x as long to get served drinks at the table, in part because the person who showed up to take the order again suffered from a language barrier, so 5 minutes after the first time the order was taken, another person, with good language skills came back and asked us to repeat our drink order. She got it right, but it took another 10 minutes between when she took the order the 2nd time and when drinks started showing up. 20 minutes later we got to order our food. When the food showed up, none of the people who were bringing it out had a feel for what was on the plate or who ordered it. That resulted in two of our party getting botched meals/delayed delivery of the corrected order. All of this taking place in the middle of music bingo... Yee Haw...Things that were positive:-- Everyone working there was kind and (when we had their attention) they tried their best to understand what we wanted. None of the staff were short or inattentive when they were at the table, it was just an uphill battle to get someone's attention and then to get the request translated into proper delivery in a timely manner.-- Nobody got a bad meal. The food was good. It wasn't good enough to erase all the other negatives that went with the service issues, but once we got our food, it was good. All in all, just an overall two-star experience driven solely by language barriers and what seemed to be either lack of sufficient staff or lack of organization. Some of it may just be a write off to dumb luck, or short staffing, or phase of the moon - but I can tell you our party walked away feeling like we'd been shortchanged on the experience we were expecting for our friends holiday gathering. It's unfortunate to say, but I doubt we'll be back next year- for this event, or any other.
