When I first walked into this shop, it was bustling with a large lunch crowd, all excitedly awaiting their fresh sandwiches. We waited in line and boy, was it worth it! The place is actually pretty good sized, and there is chips and other things to purchase up against the back wall. The workers there are incredible and helpful. I made sure to let them know I was new here and they actually assisted in telling me what goes best with what and gave me the inside scoop on everything they have.I would absolutely recommend this place, even if it's a bit of a drive. Westland does not have many sub shops, but with this place...it doesn't really need any others. It's nice on the inside, the cleanliness and care they put into their place is evident. Thank you for the great experience- can't wait to return!

First and foremost.... Exceptional service! The food is quality and fresh. I had the spicy Italian and was not disappointed. Glad I found this gem. I'll be back!

First of all,While I was waiting for the food I was so amazed and shocked that the family that owes this deli knew everyone who walked into the place by name and had parts of their order ready . Just off of the customer service alone, this place deserves 5 stars. Since this was my first time, I decided to try their heavy hitter since I'm familiar with French dip style sandwiches and I absolutely love hot roast beef sandwiches. I did not disappoint at all, it was juicy, cheesy and filled me up without any additional sides. I also bought two of their cannolis (one Bavarian cream, the other ricatta) and they were super yummy and delicious. They had plenty of desserts as well and I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches and their oreo truffles.

***DELIZIOSO***We had tried to stop in last week and they were completely sold out. I thought then that the food must be good and we made plans to return again soon. I'm so glad that we did. The proprietors must be Italian because you can taste their heritage in the food. I've driven past this tiny storefront more times than I can remember on my was to a larger bakery that, while I wasn't completely happy with, they seemed like my only choice. I've found my new Italian bakery! I ordered a simple sandwich of just Tomato, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil with balsamic splashed on. The flavor was fresh and I can't wait to taste again once tomatoes are actually in season. (The only thing that might have made my lunch more authentic tasting was if the sub bun had been replaced with a nice piece of focaccia - but you can't win 'em all)The cannolo beats the other bakery hands down. It was real ricotta (not a gelatinous cream) in a crispy shell. The boys had "The Big Earner" sub and cup of each soup, wedding and potato, but I can't give much of a review as they were both finished practically before I could unwrap mine. Call your order in for no waiting. You'll be glad you did.

Clean, well run, professional, great sandwiches, and not expensive. I know this place has received good reviews, so I drove out of my way to try it. I'm glad I did. I'll be back. Also soup and a deli counter. Some pastries too.

Love this place! Been coming here for years and the sandwiches and salads are always delicious. They have cannoli, tiramisu and other desserts I haven't tried but no doubt very good. The crusty sandwich rolls are the best, but they have softer ones too if that's your thing. Lastly everyone is always so friendly.

I stopped by Loaf & A Pound because I wanted an Italian meat and cheese sandwich. This family owned and run business was cute and clean. I had a very fresh ham, capicola and provolone sub on a freshly baked soft bun. The family was friendly and I found out that they loved doggies. My GsD was treated to a piece of turkey. There is a comfortable seating area, and a lovely clean spacious place to have a nice lunch. When in Westland I will try one of their hot subs!

Everything was so fresh and the staff was fantastic! The bread was so fresh and delicious. The sandwich probably could have fed three people, but I'd bite the hand of anyone who got too close. Definitely go check them out!

We stumbled on this deli after early morning flight and were are the hunt for lunch. Amazing! This deli in Westland has fresh Italian sandwiches and delicious pastries. Many kinds of meats and breads. Given this was our first visit, ordering became a family affair where their whole staff pitched in to recommend their picks. The staff was sooo friendly. Will be going again when we are back in town. This is Michigan hospitality at its finest!

My wife and I were looking for a good deli and we found it here. Friendly and welcoming staff who make great food. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and are looking forward to next time.
