Live is the closest thing to a true club in Ann Arbor. Experience was interesting, but enjoyable the service was awesome by Megan

Really boring... the tempo was much too slow to dance to. It was mostly hip-hop, with a mellow beat. It had some synth mixed in, but that doesn't make it dance music.. I used to go to Necto often (mondays), but the atmosphere is disturbing there, so I tried here instead. But it's just not a dance club. It's a make-out-on-the-dance-floor club.Friday night, for reference. I was truly not impressed with DJ Kevin Michaels. There were multiple times where the beat should have hit or got heavy, and it didn't.

So after the disaster that's Necto, me and my friend walked to Live and didn't wait in line too long (this was before 11 pm so that's why the line wasn't bad yet, keep reading). The club is WAY nicer than the first place and we were ready to finally have some fun. Problem is, this place is way too small for the amount of people that were in there. We literally couldn't even move and its not really enjoyable to "dance" when you have no space to even breathe. I couldn't believe how packed this place was!! We decided to go to a bar because my friend was getting claustrophobia from the craziness and as we left, the line was literally a mile long at midnight!! Clearly this club is poppin but please move to a bigger building so we can all enjoy it and have some space to breathe!! I would personally go back because overall it wasn't a bad club but it's just super busy on saturday nights so be prepared to get there early or not get in at all.

LIVE is life. While I was a student at the University of Michigan, I didn't discover LIVE until my senior year. Since I graduated, I've been back a handful of times with my most recent visit being for a friend's bachelor party. Since it was winter break, spots on South U were pretty empty so we gave LIVE a try on a Friday night. And I'm happy we did. LIVE is everything you want in a club. As you walk in, they have a coat check-in desk for like $2. Definitely worth it to not lug your coat around as you're breaking it down on the dance floor. The front of the bar has some seating and a long bar. Since this was a bachelor party, you know we were feeling it. Soon enough, a large group of dudes (me including) were twerking on the dance floor. It's hard not to when the music is always on point. Mostly hip-hop with some top 40 and EDM mixed in for good measure. And there's always nice scenery if you know what I mean. Overall, one of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor.

The Seatbelts from Detroit played there and the audience was one of the best yet. Dance crazy and starving for everything thrown at them. Really looking forward to going back.Think you are a misfit? You"ll fit right in. Great crowd!!! FUN!

This club can be fun but the staff can sometimes make this club hard to do that. I was accused of throwing a drink, and then the club reviewed the video and found out that staff member had not told the truth. The red headed security guy at the door has an attitude, so rude to everyone and he yelled at me. I will not go out and support a venue with sketchy staff, frfr!

What could be better than a place where you can rock out and dance to your hearts content! Happy Hour on Friday night is a blast!

They need a new DJ. I'm sick of the same stuff from Kevin. A fresh take on music would be nice. The hip-hop songs he plays are so old

First and pretty sure last time going. Went for a Charli theme night. Worst DJ set I have ever been to. I was there for almost 2 hours and there were four Charlie songs played. Went expecting Charlie, instead got Justin Bieber songs from 15 years ago and a horrible dubstep version of Milkshake. Skipped songs, feedback, missed transitions, DJ talking over songs. Honestly, they could've just plugged someone's phone in on Spotify Shuffle for Charli Xcx and called it a day, that would've been perfect. Sorry to the DJ, keep working on it, but really disappointing. Expensive cover.

Don't come here if your Latino/Hispanic, the security and DJ hate Latinos. They will ignore you - music requests, complaints, anything. My friend and I were shoved and when we tried to hold our ground the security accused us of being aggressive. The person who shoved us then tried to kick us and the security guard still defended her, telling us to step back. Also the music is always the same it's like the DJ plays a Spotify playlist. Drinks are okay, nothing special.
