Lim's Star Restaurant

Ordered Pad Thai that tasted like the styrofoam it was in. Ended up throwing $15 meal in the trash

So damn good!! Old School Americana Chinese Food! Shrimp fried rice had healthy sized shrimp, egg rolls (the most important litmus test of Chinese Restaurant) were legit. Didn't feel like I was getting ripped off, affordable. Staff were super friendly. A++++ zone

I received my food via delivery so I can't speak on ambiance. I can say that wether you order General Tsos, lemon, or anything else it's ALL THE SAME they will slop the same sauce in EVERYTHING. They are not in the business of taste or caring if you notice. I'm underwhelmed. However, you will receive a great deal of whatever it is that they are serving you.

First time trying this place out and was not disappointed one bit! From placing my order over the phone, the super friendly service both on the phone and in-person, the inside being so clean, to the original looking decor, I'm a fan! Not to mention all, and I mean ALL the food we ordered was 5-STAR! I'm officially hooked! Making this is our new spot for Chinese food from now on.

Pleasant owners and great priceStopped going here years ago due to declining quality and service. Now they're under new management and they've done a 180. Ordered the Almond Chicken, came with a cup of soup and egg roll. Less than $9 before tax and tip. Downside is my iced tea was a third of the price of the meal. But that's 2023 for ya. I was saddened to see they're still struggling to get customers. Their previous reputation must still be harming them. Don't let it. Check it out. Both my spouse and I over ate. We could have taken half home. But it was SOO good. Chinese food nappy time good! .

I just re-discovered this place located not far from my man cave. I love their hot and sour soup I've had a variety of things on their menu all very good. I'd like to change things up a little bit and sometimes I ask if they can use this sauce on this other dish and they always are very accommodating. I usually eat there at lunchtime and the food is extremely inexpensive for what you get. excellent service from the owners son, this gets my highest recommendation!

If I could give this restaurant a 10 star rating I would! Service and food are the best around! No matter what you order it's out this world!

I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into.Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place.So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously!If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison.Mark J.

Best Chinese food I've ever had in my life. I had my typical Chinese go to which was the sweet & sour chicken dinner with fried rice. I also had an egg roll and the egg drop soup. The egg roll and the chicken nuggets were deep fried to absolute perfection. The plum sauce was very tasty and was more sweet than tangy which I prefer. Great ambience too. I think the restaurant decor is very pretty.

Food was great, Service was great, and the large booths are comfortable. Clean nice place and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My third time here, I'll be back.
