Lim's Chinese Restaurant

I've had two recent experiences at this Chinese restaurant, and both were great!For dine-in, it had that classic, traditional Chinese restaurant vibe. The staff was incredibly attentive, quick, and friendly. When dining in, they serve you an egg roll and soup before your meal, which is a nice touch. Our plates came out hot and with generous portions--absolutely no complaints there.For takeout, the food was ready in just 10 minutes. Both takeout boxes were packed with fresh, hot food, and the portions were just as generous as dining in. Everything is fairly priced, which is always a bonus.I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving good Chinese food!

All I can say is wow !!! I have heard many good things about this place so we decided to try it for dinner last night. Let me tell you it was absolutely amazing! All the food was fresh and hot and very tasty! They give generous portions. The food was ready when promised as well! If you are looking for a good Chinese place that doesn't lack the flavor like most do, come check them out ! Definitely a 5 out of 5!!!

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant and are so impressed they are doing sushi now too! If you're gluten free I highly recommend checking them out. The owner is well versed and can make most things gluten free. It was so nice to have gluten free orange chicken for the first time in years. I recommend dining in. The decor is your normal Chinese restaurant. They serve complimentary hot tea (which is a must). Soup and either egg roll or spring roll are served with the meal also. If you're not a big rice person, they can substitute hot rolls. I usually get their Chinese veggie soup and a spring roll. All of their food is fresh and tasty and they cook to order so if you want more garlic or ginger, or different veggies just ask and they'll make everything exactly how you want it. The prices are reasonable and the service is always great. The owner Gia is extremely sweet and knows how to run a restaurant. I highly recommend checking them out!

This was my 2nd visit. First visit was a big bowl of soup w veggies and crunchy rice, then a spring roll, then chicken gai kow. I was very clear I am allergic to gluten, fish, and mushrooms. The food was great, good portions, and I didn't get ill. Today was different. The soup was a cup of egg drop soup w crunchy rice. I think I was served an egg roll, but I was assured it was gluten free. The chicken, after a few bites had mushrooms in it. It was remade, but I carried that out. I wanted to get home. My GI system has been upset this evening. If you don't have food allergies, eat here. The food is great. But if you have food allergies, you take a risk.

The worst Garlic ribs I have ever eaten. How is this place still open? I was excited after finally locating a restaurant that offer garlic ribs. I guess I will continue to drive to Warren for decent Garlic Ribs. The Won Ton soup dumplings were very gummy and chewy. My spouse enjoyed the egg rolls.If you had Garlic Ribs from the former Silver Dragon in Harper Woods, you will be greatly disappointed in Lim's version. Waste of money! Very disappointed I will mix the remaining garlic ribs with my dog's dry dog food. At least she will enjoy the disappointing meal. Expensive dog food! Blah!!!!!!!

Update to last review. One take out experience that was very disappointing. Dinner for three. Dry Almond Boneless Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Also, couldn't request soups for three. Had to get only one and we all like different soups. Two dine ins. First one was spectacular. Tonight was bad. Ordered combos and got entrees. One person ordered walnut shrimp and got walnut chicken. That was corrected. Only brought two bowls of rice for five people. Had to wait forever for more rice with the excuse that they were busy. With carryout yes..dine in no. Our party was the only one in the restaurant. Asked for rice to take home. Wanted to charge for it. So disappointing .

We'll, I think we've found a new Chinese place! I used to go to Lim's decades ago with my family, but haven't been there in a long time. We were looking for something new for the family and I remembered this establishment. We called ahead to make sure they were open for eat in, which they are. The lady explained while we were eating that a lot of the time she does everything at the front of the house, but we were the only ones there and she was covering our table and the very brisk and busy carry out business. The soup was much more flavorful than at most places, and the main dishes were really great. Crispy and tender chicken, delicious sauces, and nice portion size. The prices are reasonable, too. It's not fancy inside, but that doesn't matter when the food is this good. Service is also good. The parking lot is a bit challenging, but that has nothing to do with them. They have some busy places in this strip mall.

Chicken gai kow very good comes with egg roll won ton soup. Good value yummy. Friendly

First time here but won't be the last! Everything was delicious and portions were very generous. I can't wait to go back again and try another delicious dish from their menu.

Best Chinese food around! Ingredients are always fresh & prices are good. Staff is always friendly.
