I ordered 1 fried pork chop, yam and dressing!I thought would be $10 special + extra side. Cashier rang $21+! I looked at her inquisitively and she said "No $10 special on Sunday! What if I didn't want to pay $21. I can't eat 2 pork chops! What if I don't have $21? I hope she is not the owner 'cause she will run people away. She has as much people personality as an ice princess! The only money we owe her is for the food we buy, as a matter of fact, customers don't even know her name. Good thing the food is good and speaks for itself! Besides the fact, it is located in the back of the liquor store so there isn't any ambiance. The food look so good and I was so irritated when I got home I did not take a picture! Maybe a little gravy on the dressing and some cranberry sauce!

finally got to try this spot and I was super excited but the food was very underwhelming. The lamb chops were good, they're the normal Detroit flavor with zip sauce. No worries there. It was the sides that threw me off. The lack of seasoning was surprising in both the mac and spaghetti. Probably wouldn't come back because I would want the same sides.

What can I say, I enjoyed everything. Smothered pork chops....wow. Collard greens, mac n cheez, baked beans, candied yams all made me forget it was the middle of the week and not Soul Food Sunday! I can't speak to another persons experience. I'm just telling you about my experience. Ordered carry out/delivery. i can't speak to the location or staff. Im satisfied with the results. I admit it is a little pricey but it was worth it for this meal this time. Gotta save some more money so I can go back.

Tried to place an online order at 3:30 for a New Orleans baked potato, a side of yams, and a side of macaroni. We're a vegetarian family and unfortunately, there wasn't an option to take the swine off the potato. So, I had to call in a pickup instead of getting delivery... very inconvenient. I gave my order over the phone, specifying NO BACON. I was told 30 minutes and it would be ready. This was not my first time patronizing this establishment. The food is always good. But, the wait is always excessive. So, I gave them an extra 30 minutes before arriving, so I wouldn't have to wait. When, I got there I STILL HAD TO WAIT 30 MINUTES. Got the food, my daughter starts eating in the car... only to get home and realize the potato is covered in bacon! My child hasn't eaten pork in 3 years. Called Lillie Bells, complained, asked for a refund, and was told that they don't give refunds but I could come get another potato...I responded AND WAIT ANOTHER 30 MINUTES?? the lady on the phone assured me it wouldn't take that long. She was right, it took 20 minutes after almost 3 hours of dealing with bs, burning extra gas, and spending 35 bucks we arrived home with the food. Hopefully my kid doesn't get sick... the restaurant didn't seem to give af either way. WTF.

The food was seasoned to perfection. Most soul food places the food is salty, not this. Try it, I'll bet you won't be disappointed.

First time having Lillie Bells at the Detroit Rib Fest. We were so glad to see lamb chops being served. That excitement went down the drain after opening the container on our way home. One of the chops was barely larger than a quarter and thick as two quarters stacked. Another one chewy, the other two okay but still small. I felt like a number rather than a customer. I was in shock to see this service.

Employees were pleasant. The food. SmhRibs. My plate was full of barbecue sauce because the meat needed a soaking I guessMy grand baby lives Mac and cheese 5 years old. She had one fork full not eat it. I tasted it. Not good. Chicken wings dried out we went there on a Friday at 3pm. Smh. Husband had Cat Fish he said it was pretty good. I was asked would I go again. The answer is no. Oh my Grandbaby loved the cornbread. I love sauced Ribs but these were ridiculous. My plate was drowned in sauce.

Love Lillie bells. Only gave them4 stars due to portions getting smaller but quality never lacks! Great customer service. Lillie needs her own sit down restaurant for better ambiance than being in a liquor store.

I purchased a turkey chop dinner on Saturday, 1/26/25. They were overcooked and certainly didn't take to rewarming well. I love Lillie Bells, but I'll never buy the turkey chops again.

No matter what you order from here you will not be disappointed!!! Doesn't matter the cost I'm willing to pay! Even in the midst of inflation! Lol Food is excellent Service is excellent
