Lightning Rounds

We went on a Saturday night when it was mildly busy. A few empty tables. Our waitress looked like she had rolled out a bed and put on her apron. She forgot our drink and dinner orders. It was only when we asked about my drink that she submitted the order for it and dinner.Fast forward one week and our daughter is home and wants to try LR. We try again. There were 2 other tables on our side of the wall. We waited over 10 minutes and never were addressed at our table. The manager on duty was in the room up front with the door closed or we would have said something when we left. We figured it was a sign of things to come and left.0/2 in 7 days.

Great venue. Great staff. Good food. Overall, this is a nice spot and a must try! Looks like a perfect summer hangout spot with friends and family. We will be back!

This is my 3rd time checking out Lightning Rounds. The first since the new menu has been out. I do have to say that the menu upgrades are a major improvement IMO. Not that I didn't care for the previous offerings, but this is something that will have us coming back. There are a lot of new choices that are really great. THE XXX Cheeseburger is definitely one of my favorite burgers in town. We ordered a side of cheese curds as well and they are fantastic. The waffle fries are very good and the shoe strings too. My wife ordered the 3 piece tendies and they were very good. Audrey had her tendies and waffle fries for free! Great feature. Quin had the mushroom and grilled onion grilled cheese? Not quite sure the official name. But she loved it. I was more pleased with this trip than the last time we were here. Like I said, I just think these choices are more memorable than the last menu. We were outside on the patio to enjoy this beautiful day. There is plenty of space out there for all kinds of fun stuff. We will be back in the future. Our service was really great and unfortunately I didn't catch the name of our waitress. I apologize for that. Two thumbs up. Nice job, Patrick!PS.... I don't think I've ever given a 5 star review. Seems Neely renovated, very clean. Extremely friendly service. Classic sliders had odd taste: I think it was the black pepper. Extremely friendly greeter and waitress. Several twists on regular bar fare. Have a cocktail that changes colors: don't drink s somebody else will have to report on that.

Mixed review so be forewarned.Service was outstanding. The help was almost tripping over us to be helped. Yes, the place was busy.Menu was very interesting, pretty much all sliders, of all kinds and priced right, most under $5.00. Some salads and cheese curds, poutine and more.Quality of food was greasy, Bounty paper towels, a roll should be on every table. Yet, despite this it was priced right.Lastly, would I come back? I hope to, the drinks were good.

Wow What a completely transformed space. From the updated colors to a smoother esthetic what an upgrade from previous restaurants in this establishment. The menu is simple and straightforward- cost effective handhelds, buildable sides and salads. The sliders were the star for me- checkout the redonkulous burger- my only regret was not getting a better pic before slamming it. It came to the table steaming hot with a perfectly grilled brioche bun and tons of cheese (which is of the utmost importance to me). The hot chick sandwich was also insanely good - it wasn't too hot spice level wise but enough to perfectly pair with the sauce (garlic aioli, I think?). We tried the cheese curds (hand breaded), cheeseburger chowder (new comfort food), and the pollo taco as well. The cocktail menu had specially crafted cocktails plus a full bar- I was surprised to see the cocktails were $5- a steal to easily complement the rest of the menu items. For only being open a few weeks the service was good too. Our server Hailey explained everything is either scratch made or locally sourced and prepped us for potentially a longer wait time as they worked out the opening kinks- we experienced NONE of that. Food was quick, hot, and as described. I think the food format works best for people who want to try a little of everything, even the "small" sides were large enough to share. Bring a few friends, your appetite, and checkout the newest restaurant in Lapeer brought to you by the OGs of other successful local restaurants- you won't regret it.

Wow!! Welcome To Thunder dome!!Everything I ordered completely hit the spot the sliders the dawgs even the beef tallow fried potato. Food completely fresh and I love the pickled onions. I added a little bit of sweetened vinegar to it. Those are the best slider burgers and excellent taste!! The service is top-notch and I love the brand new place that y'all have. I like that it's a sports bar. That is really cool. I like that. You have seating that we can sit at. While we wait for our food!! Plenty of parking everywhere!! I forgot to take a picture of the menu so that I could post them.Y'all make an excellent food. I'm extremely grateful. The neighbor hood burger joint! Yummmmm

Fast service. Spicy chicken slider was great also their shoe string fries. Had Oberon on tap. Any Michigan restaurant or bar not having Oberon during season is unforgivable. Cheese curds also tasty. Very reasonable prices. If I had to search for any negatives would be hopefully they expand their menu and it was quite noisy. Don't know if that's beyond their control though.

Amazing food, friendly staff and dog friendly shady outdoor patio! I had the pickle chips and they were great! Everything we had was outstanding! I would recommend the onion rings and the southern dawg.

Three of us went to dinner. It was very noisy. There was 20 people sitting next to us. They wouldn't move us. We ordered the ribs and they were all cold. Waitress was too busy to even come and ask us how the stuff was wouldn't recommend this place to no one
