I ordered the ribs they were okay. They were missing something. The sauce was good but the ribs were just lacking. Maybe they need more seasoning or something I don't know for sure what was missing but they just wasn't on point like they used to be.

This place has awesome food! Amazing friendly staff, everything is homemade and cooked same day. The owner actually allowed me to take a tour and there is a bbq pit that is used to cook the ribs. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves bbq and soul food. A long list of menu selections also they have a few things that aren't soul food like grilled burgers they're amazing! If you're ever in Michigan you have to visit this place. It's located in the city but the food is well worth the drive.

The ribs are ok, they use to be GREAT but they started to boil them an then put on the pit. Bad news they are closing a for sale sign just went up. Open at least 20 plus years. They do not accept Credit Cards!!!

Texas style barbecue is delicious. I've been on Felicia for 10 years and the restaurant has been there longer than that she likes her food is well cooked and all sides are delicious and fantastic Giving her five stars check out her food this is mama have a wonderful holiday and be safe

It has been a long time since I have been to Texas Style BBQ. I was so disappointed and angry. The ribs were not fresh, burnt, and tasted like a piece of tree bark covered in sauce. It is hard to believe that the woman would serve a person such garbage. Nothing like back in the day. save your money and find another spot.

Very delicious ribs and chicken. The sides are very good especially the sweet potatoes and black eyed peas. The portions though are small and pricey. To get a large portion of greens is $6.00. That size is only 16 oz.. They are also very slow in service. You will wait 30 minutes for your order. Some of the staff can be rude Also a slab with fries is $25
