My wife and I had an excellent Valentine's Day dinner here. Like the rest of the newly restored Book Tower, this place is beautiful. Such a great, classic vibe inside. We started out with the wild mushroom tart, which was delicious. I had the moules mariniere (mussels) with frites and she had the steak frites. Both were top-notch. Cocktails were excellent. We finished with a dessert that may have been special for the evening, a croquembouche. It was a fun little tower of cream puffs with different flavored fillings.Throughout the meal, our server was super informative and helpful. The mushroom tart was his suggestion and it did not disappoint.

My friends and I came here on Sunday for dessert and we had an excellent time! We came right when they opened! Our waitress, Sierra (I believe that was her name), was amazing! She was so kind as we were deciding what to get! The three of us split a crème brûlée and a chocolate mousse. Both were really good, but not life changing but any means. We didn't get any main food, but the menu looked delicious and it was all very expensive. The restaurant was so beautiful and looked like a great date night spot.

Brunch with a friend at Le Suprême satiated my soul, as much as the food here satiated my appetite. The restaurant is located at the Book Tower, with the dining area facing Washington. I love the casual/elegant vibe of the restaurant, including the wall of windows, leather banquette and cafe-style seating, and eclectic artwork hung throughout the restaurant. I always note the flooring and lighting in any space so, of course, I appreciated the mosaic tile and hardwood flooring and glass globe lighting. The menu included the typical brunch fare: breakfast pastries, eggs (omelettes), salads (Niçoise and Lyonnaise), and sandwiches (jambon beurre and brie, Croque Madam). There were also escargots, pâté, mussels, and duck confit on the French-focused menu.We shared the pastry basket, which included butter croissant, pain au chocolat, banana bread, financier, blueberry buckle, and a small ramekin of jam. We thought each item was fantastic and largely filled up on them even before our entrées came; my friend loved the financier most (yes, it was so good).I usually have no problems choosing. However, there were so many good options on the menu here. I ended up having the Moules Marinières, mussels prepared in a shallot and white wine broth. The mussels were large and plentiful. Unfortunately, baguettes were not served to sop up the delicious broth. My friend enjoyed her Niçoise salad. The staff here is attentive and helpful.

My first visit here was just OK... Had to wait a long time to get seated, once we were seated, we didn't have a server, it was a mess. Despite that experience, I went back with a friend for brunch and had a completely different experience. This time we were promptly seated and waited on. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely go back for dinner. I could not finish everything, but it was so good.

4.5 stars, everything was excellent except maybe one thing! Would def go back. The steak was cooked exactly how we asked, it was great even without the sauce specially with peppercorn. I do wish they have option of non alcohol cooked sauce. The service was great. The only thing that was annoying is we had to wait a good 30 minutes even without reservations, they were very apologetic and did give an appetiser on the house. The place is great decorated, upscale, dimmed lighting.

I came here for brunch to celebrate my sisters birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and so was the coffee and the espresso martini. The staff was very nice and the ambience/interior was beautiful. We all ordered a variety of different brunch menu items and everyone enjoyed it! It is quite pricey overall for a small amount of food. But overall would love to come back for dinner!

A very good restaurant serving traditional French bistro fare. The atmosphere is very authentic bistro, with a friendly and attentive staff. Reservations for dinner are recommended.I had the French onion soup ($17.) and the Boeuf Bourguignon ($39.). Both were excellent. My companion had an unbelievably delicious wild mushroom tart with leek fondue, truffle purée, and alpine cheese ($19.) and a very tasty Mediterranean sea bass filet, served with saffron-braised potatoes and sauce vierge (a sort of vinaigrette)($39.). They also bring a basket of freshly-baked bread, which was a must for my Boeuf Bourguignon. Overall an excellent meal in a great atmosphere.

This place was very good. It made a Yelp list or some sort of list I saw of the top 10 restaurants in Detroit, and one of my friends commented on it and said she had always wanted to try it, so we went tonight for an early dinner. Definitely make a reservation, tonight is a Saturday and we got in at 4:45 p.m., I think 7:00 p.m. and typical dinner times were all taken. They give you a complimentary bread basket, and we split the wild mushroom tart which was excellent. My friend also got the escargot and really enjoyed it, as well as a glass of wine, I think a Syrah. I got the steak frites and she got the moules (mussels) frites, and we also split the creme brulee for dessert. My friend's birthday is in early January and mine is in mid January and she had informed the restaurant of that, they ended up comping our dessert which was pretty nice and they also gave us a little postcard with birthday wishes on it.The only semi-picky thing I can say is that I do wish they refreshed my water a bit more often, they were decent about it but the glasses are small. Prices are a bit high but on par with other Detroit restaurants, my steak frites was $39 and the creme brulee was $14. Wine is about $14+ per glass and I saw cocktails were about $16-19 too. This place did remind me a lot of Mon Ami Gabi, in Vegas, but it was very nice and I hope to return at some point. I bought parking on Parkwhiz for the structure next door beforehand, it was $12 and I was glad I bought it before we drove to Detroit because otherwise it was $24 there.

Came by with some friends for dinner. We found some street parking nearby pretty easily but it might have been because it was a weeknight. The interior is really cute and reminded me of a Parisian bistro. They did a really good job nailing that aesthetic. We started off with some cocktails and I enjoyed all the ones that I tried. We started with the tuna carpaccio which might have been my favorite dish of the night. I had the steak frites as my main and got to try the mussels that my girlfriend had. My steak was well cooked and it was a large portion. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back to try more of the menu.

This spot I visited only because of Instagram! Not kidding - whatever you are doing social media wise is absolutely working - I Live in LA and have seen Detroit grow so much since first visiting back in 2007 and the Surprême is absolutely part of this amazing new renaissance. I sit at this bar and it reminds me a Le Diplomat in Washington DC and actually real Paris : high ceilings and great sounds of happy crowds enjoying everything. I went here three times in eleven days right when they opened because it can get packed. But th Motown music blasts over that so that's an incredible blend. To eat, I recommend the steak tartare accompanied by a Bordeaux-Chateau sénéjac-haut-médoc : Tashana was wonderful at the bar and Mandy both had the best welcoming energy. Merci Beaucoup Le Suprême - I want to rent in the Book Tower just so I can make your spot my spot!
