Lava Mountain Coffee Roastery & Café

A hidden gem in a strip mall. We stopped for a coffee, stayed for the atmosphere. It must be Greek owned or Greek influenced because they serve Greek coffee and treats, plus olive oil and Greek seasoning abound. My coffee was excellent. The spanakopita was okay- it was not thoroughly heated. If you are in the area, worth a stop.

Gem right in Lake Orion next to Chicago Brothers pizza and Checkers. Beautiful interior, great place to meet friends and hang out. Service was exceptional; the barista was great at explaining drinks and making recommendations. I ended up getting the peppermint frappe. It tastes like a peppermint stick shake! Yum!

Definitely a hidden gem! I came here out of necessity when I lost power one day and needed to work. It's really a perfect spot to work, with tons of seating and outlets everywhere. The coffee is good, nothing crazy. The food is pretty overpriced though, coming from someone who just moved out of Manhattan lol. The girls working here are really sweet, though. Overall worth a visit if you're in the area!

A cool place to stop in. A lot of places to sit and stay a while. Not a fan that they do not use espresso to make their lattes or other espresso based drinks.

Tucked in a nondescript strip center, in a part of 24 where you usually hit the gas you'll find Lava Mountain Coffee. Relatively new, this sleek newcomer delivers great coffee and breakfast fare in a cool package. Plenty of room for hanging or meeting, Lava Mountain hits the mark. And look for Big Ben behind the counter. Barista extrordinaire! So tap the brakes going South through Lake Orion and try Lava Mountain. It's hot..hot..hot! Go!

My daughter took me to check out Lava Mountain before going to the mall on July 11, 2021. Kinda rainy when we went, so didn't get to enjoy the little patio, but going inside I was not disappointed. Beautifully done-very spacious, loved the colors, decor. And the music they were playing! Have a wall that's like a bar area, seating all spaced out so you can enjoy conversations with family or friends more privately. Staff top notch that day. Wish I knew the girls name that waited on me but she was helpful and patient! Don't remember what I got that day either...but was satisfied. Some brown sugar latte I think it was. Browsed around a-bit looking at the nice stuff for sale. Started to get crowded after we had sat down. That's usually a good sign.
