Me and a friend dropped by recently for dinner, and were pleasantly surprised on how good the food was, and the service. Our waitress was quite attentive and friendly. We will have to return very soon.

Not the best, not the worst.We've ordered from Pearl City the last few Christmas Days. 2025 was the first time we had an issue. My brother-in-law ordered sweet and sour chicken and they only gave him the little fried chicken nuggets that would typically be in a sweet and sour chicken entree. I called the restaurant when I got home and asked if it was supposed to be served differently since he ordered the entree, and they said yes. I went back to the restaurant to get the rest of his meal and just couldn't communicate with the girl at the front desk. I tried my best multiple times but the language barrier prohibited us from common understanding. She actually shut the carry out window on me. HahaI went into the restaurant and waited about 10 more minutes until a young man came to help organize the carry outs. I was able to talk to him about us being given the wrong food and he went into the back and came out with the corrected meal.

Getting straight to the point ,Lam's Pearl City Chinese restaurant is a gem that a LOT of people don't know about. I ordered a fried shrimp dinner with shrimp fried rice for my residents birthday,and I ordered shrimp &vegetables with shrimp fried rice. Everything was hot ,fresh and still had that flavor one can only get using the extremely high temperatures of a traditional Chinese wok. Simply OUTSTANDINGLY Delicious Chinese food,once again. Good egg rolls, fine rice, great sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour chicken are always a hit in our home. Tried their almond chicken today, it's bland as can be!

This place has taken a drastic decline ... I will never be back!!! Located in a dingy, sad strip mall, there's rundown hanging on for dear life restaurant is really a disgrace to the Chinese restaurants in the surrounding area. Not only is the food mediocre at best. The owner/cook in the kitchen is a wild woman. If you have any type of dissatisfaction of your food, she will literally come out of the kitchen and start yelling at you at your table. I am sitting in the parking lot as I just experienced this.The chicken that I ordered was rubbery, processed, and tasted like fish. I did not care for that. The customer is entitled to not care for something that is prepared. And rather than trying to rectify the situation, she came out to the table and scolded me, berated me and demanded that I paid my bill. After taking my plate away... completely unacceptable,Desperate people will do desperate things and clearly this restaurant operates under a desperate mindset ...save yourself the time, the dissatisfaction in terrible food and your money. Go elsewhere!!! ZERO customer service and clearly toxic work environment !!do not patronize this failing establishment.

Absolutely the worst Thai food I've ever had! They need to not sell Thai food if they don't know how to cook it properly. The noodles were so over cooked they were mush and all the manager had to say was that's how they cook it so I clarified so you cook the noodles to mush and she stood firm and said YES that's how they do it also with the pad Thai chicken they served that with the same sauce as the sew yu beef which was horrible. I've been a customer for years however after this I won't be getting Chinese food from them either they've definitely lost a customer.

Lam's Pearl City Restaurant! They still have the safe and quick Pickup, with an indoor pickup window so you can wait until you don't see someone else standing in there, have your good mask on, and go in and pick up your food. You can call it in, or you can use their website. And of course with pickup, we always tip because they are doing their best to keep the staff and the clients all safe right now, and doing a great job. Very nice setup. As health care providers, we love love love them for doing this. The choices, the choices! Everything we order, we like. That's a problem, wanting what we had last time, again. and again. So we finally got around to simple stuff tonight: Shrimp Chow Mein, and Sesame Chicken dinner. Even the simple stuff they do so well it's a new instant crave food. This restaurant is dangerous that way. What's not to like?The Sesame Chicken, done as ordered "Extra hot", was amazing. All perfect chicken breaded and fried with a beautiful addicting sauce. Melt in your mouth chicken. Ahhhh but the Shrimp Chow Mein, don't scoff at Chow Mein when the Chef at Lam's is making it! It was simple, very simple, and utterly perfect, and you'll have to try it to see what I mean. It could not be better. Now that's my problem, right? Everything I've gotten so far over the past few years since we found Lam's, is perfect. Next: we plan to work down the "Specialties" listings. Yum.
