We went to a small concert at this location, hint didn't need to pre purchase tickets. Less at the door. Liked seeing and supporting smaller musicians. People were friendly and staff was quick and helpful. Food was typical bar food and drinks were great.

This place saved us! We arrived early to the wedding venue behind them and the wedding guests were able to get coffee, drinks and a bite to eat. Thank you to the Lager House staff!!!! You are the best and we will be back now that we know you are here

I visited Lager House for a friend's birthday brunch. The atmosphere lacked warmth and coziness on that this particular cold and rainy day. Despite it being tucked away and unnoticed during my many drives past, they accommodated a table of 10 for brunch, which was fantastic. I ordered a classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. While the potatoes looked a bit sad, they turned out to be the highlight of the plate. Everybody seemed to enjoy their food and it was reasonably priced which is hard to find in Detroit nowadays.The service was excellent, ensuring our coffees were filled, and mimosas kept coming. While the restaurant may seem typical of a bar in Corktown, the service and food were what made the visit worthwhile.

My husband found the Lager House on YELP and what a neighborhood gem! So cute! Strongly recommend you get what they are known for - check out their burgers. OMG! Shroom burger with Swiss cheese medium and sweet potato fries. My husband got the black and bleu burger and I don't believe either of us said a word during lunch. :). It's a local neighborhood location and that's super fun, super chill and has great food. Go for it!

Great dive-ish bar and venue. Had been a minute since I'd been in, but came for the Mihali show. Staff was excellent. From door guy, to bartenders, to kitchen team running food in a packed space. Great vibes, even when packed. Food menu looked really fun and inspired.It's got a lot of charm and character. Would post up for a happy hour, catch another show, or grab a lunch.Support your local bars and music venues!Manager eas Great too. He didn't have to take care of us the way he did, but super grateful he did as it made our night phenomenal.

Though we miss the name PJ's Lager House, the new Lager House did not disappoint. Our friends' put on a live version of their podcast, Crazy for Swayze. Despite a few technical difficulties early on, the staff was helpful working through those and the food was delicious! I had a vegan tempeh po'boy sandwich that was absolutely amazing. CJ, the bartender, did a great job keeping up with everything all night.

I literally "stumbled" into here because it was rainy/snowy and the place I was headed was an additional 100 feet away. Am I glad I did! WOW, the people, the vibe, the service, the FOOD! Completely wreck my weekly eating restrictions, Chicken Sandwich, Gumbo, Onion Rings, and Jalapeño Maple Wings... Management, chef, bartenders, all fantastic. Can't wait to return!!
