I really like how all the tacos come with plenty of meat and crisp onions. The double corn tortillas are griddled/flash fried which helps them keep their shape and adds some nice flavor. Pastor Taco (5/5): Deliciously marinated meat with lots of flavor. Asada Taco (5/5): Tasty steak. Carnitas Taco (4/5): A little lacking in flavor, and could be a bit crispier. RATING SYSTEM5 - Great (Need to get this again)4 - Good (Would get this again)3 - Ok (Might give this another shot)2 - Not Good (Won't get this again)1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Updating my review - still as bomb as I remember from my first visit. Dined in this time and it really was a whole vibe from bumping El Makabelico to the potent chopped onions filling the dining room and giving me watery eyes (I share this endearingly like being in someone's home kitchen!) Per usual, I ordered tacos:*Lengua: stunning here. Cubes of tender lengua with just a bit of crisp on the outside. *Shrimp: a friend recommended it and i was completely NOT expecting this but it was almost fajita style with green peppers and onions topped with cheese! The shrimp was cut into pieces and really really well seasoned so almost like TACOS GOBERNADOR! Pretty unique take. Into it. The mighty human working the entire FOH by herself was so sweet despite how busy it was! FYI - on weekends, they have birria, barbacoa, menudo, pozole!

Come here for the tacos! They have such a widespread of meats options. They have the normal basic stuff like Asada and Pollo, but I absolutely love how they have other choices like the Lengua, Buche, Surtida. I don't know of a lot of other places around here that have it on their menu & have it taste this good. You know this place is good because my Mexican friend ordered a whole tray of tacos from here for her birthday. Also the Horchata is very refreshing and a great size.

We got takeout burritos from La Torre Taqueria, for a work lunch, and they were HUGE! We could've easily split one burrito between two people but no one really wanted to share because they were so tasty. Our meal even came with a generous serving of chips and salsa. Everyone inside seemed so kind and it really feels like a local family owned place. Will 100% be back!

Looking for a great spot to grab a quick bite of Mexican food in Ypsi? You definitely need to be giving La Torre Taqueria a try. In the Ann Arbor/ Ypsi area, there are a few contenders as far as solid & authentic mexican food, and La Torre comes ready to vie for a spot among the ranks. The prices are very reasonable (especially for 2023 prices), and you can get pretty good value out of the meals as well. A friend and I swung by recently for dinner, and both got tacos. The tacos themselves are solid, but the real winner is the sauces -- both sauces at the table are absolutely fantastic. Providing a great balance of flavor and heat (while remaining distinct to themselves), the sauces are an excellent complement to your meal. In addition to the sauces & the tacos, the burritos are another highlight. Not just big, think massive! Each burrito is easily 2 meals... one asterisk is that they're heavy on the rice, so be prepared to drop a good amount of sauce in there to keep them from feeling super dry. Overall, I think La Torre is worth your foodie exploration - it's a great combo of value and flavor!

Delicious hot food. Generously portioned tacos and large, tasty burrito!I called and ordered for pickup but it's basically the same prices for takeout via Yelp (no upcharge) so I would do that next time. I don't think it has the "ambiance" to eat there but phenomenal food!

Tried this place based on the hype and reviews. Disappointed honestly. I had the al pastor burrito and with all the standard toppings. It was basically flavorless. I also had to wait like 20 minutes for my takeout order. Only plus is it was huge portion.

How you gonna sell me a $10 burrito and not give me any sauce? Burrito had nothing but meat and rice in it. No beans, no crema, no cheese, no avocado, nothing... just some dry rice and fried meat And it wasn't wrapped in foil and came with ZERO sauce. Sorry but this is MIDS!!!I sht you not, I threw this burrito away and drove up the street to MINY'S so I could fulfill my burrito needs. More like La Turdé. IT STINKS

The best tacos in Ann Arbor / Ypsi area. I live the tripa tacos and shrimp tacos. The pazole on the weekend is sooo good...big bowl so have your appetite ready or share with someone you love dearly. Horchata and Jamaica are on point!
