La Fonda is a new DR taco shop in West Village. Everything I've had had been excellent but I'm still trying to nail down which meat is my favorite (probably need to go back for a taco Tuesday and re evaluate). I like the tacos and burritos, but I think you get the most bang for your buck by getting a bowl. The shop itself is small and cute maybe okay to eat there but I prefer to take my food to go, no one needs to see me go Tasmanian Devil on this food.Service is great and friendly though, they have experienced such tremendous popularity in the past few weeks, expect some time for your order to be ready. I'm going to try to swing by at off hours myself to do more taco research.

We walked here for a very exciting taco Tuesday. The tacos included on taco Tuesday is anything pork and anything chicken we are very excited about both these options, so we decided to do both and add an order of Birra tacos with a quesadilla and churros. The service was courteous and thorough and we waited about 25 mins which is great for a busy taco Tuesday. The restaurant itself has 5 small tables and some bench counter seating. Very cute ambiance. We will be back.

Wowwwwww this spot is amazing!! Great value and super nice people. Vibes are immaculate and very chill. The tacos were incredible. My favorites were the carnitas, el pastor, and the fish! The bowls here are amazing too. You have to get the Dominican bowl if you go. The stew meat is to die for. Lastly, the elotes were incredible as well. Go here and try a lot of things!!

Everything was great here! Food, and service was amazing. Highly recommend the spicy fish tacos, elote corn, chips and their house made guacamole was a great appetizer. Then to round things off the churros were perfect! The place on the inside was small, but provided a cozy ambiance. La Fonda St is a great fusion of Mexican, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Venezuelan and Jamaican food spot that you should definitely stop by and try!

Love this taco joint! The food is delicious and extremely consistent--this is a great sign considering this is a new establishment. The counter help is patient and helpful and do notice customers if they have been waiting for a while. And lastly, the price of the tacos is very good and even better on Taco Tuesdays. And they are slowly adding to their menu which I love. This place is a win for the Kercheval Business area.

Loveee this place! My fiance and I frequent here since it's been open. Hands down the best Mexican Food I've tried in Detroit. Their freshly made chips are so addicting too! Price is very reasonable as well and service never disappoints. You order up at cashier and they bring the food out to your table if you are dining in. There's some outside seating as well.
