You can tell looking at the menu it's pretty much any cookie cutter Chinese take out place with the staples you come to expect. I came in wanting a soup dish to warm me up on a cold day. At the entrance they had pictures of various menu items and one of them was a soup with noodles that peaked my interest. I inquired about it, but the "gentleman" who I encountered at the front desk told me they didn't have it anymore. I'm thinking to myself why keep a photo of something you're not providing to your customers anymore? Just seemed like pure laziness on their part. So I asked about other soups and he hastily pointed to the menu and said "these are our soups". I felt rushed to make a choice which got on my nerves, so I went with a small chicken rice soup and also asked for one order of crab rangoon. I could tell he was disappointed I didn't order more food, and when I gave him cash to complete my order he short changed me by a lot had I not paid attention and corrected this error. I'm not quite sure what this guy's role was at this establishment, but he was rude, impatient and quite unwelcoming towards me. The only nice thing I have to say was the soup and rangoon ended up being delicious, which lead me to think the rest of the menu might actually be worth exploring. However, due to this poor customer service experience I certainly will not return to give them any more business.

If I could give zero, I would. The front desk clerk looks like a manager and he is extremely inpatient since I step into the front entrance trying to ask him questions about the menu. I was the only customer inside the restaurant at that time. He even laughed about people who cannot take spicy food orders. I ended up walk away without ordering anything. Trash service, will never try this place again

I heard about this restaurant via another Yelp review.I am very happy with my dinning experience tonight. We ordered off of the Authentic Chinese menu.Half of the order Schichan( A spicy cuisine ) the other a mild cuisine. I am guessing Hunan. The noodle dishes were amazing. We also had cumin lamb, dumplings that are made at the restaurant, pork belly stir fry, and fried rice.Note : based on your spice tolerance, you can always order the szechuan dishes hotter. I spoke in length with one of the owners of the restaurant. He was very nice and answered all my questions and I really had many questions. Can't wait to go back ! Next time I will try some dishes off of the American-Chinese menu. I know that I will be pleasantly surprised.

This place just isn't great!? Maybe i got the wrong dish!? I got the general chicken and instead of having any heat it was sweet which definitely threw me off. Id go pretty much anywhere in the area but but here for sure! I asked for soy sauce and hot mustard.. didnt have either and they gave me a little baby napkin and only one!? What the heck am i going to do with that lol! I took a couple bites and threw it out!?

This place is a cool spot for the area. Not alot of places making chinese food around there, so if you need a noodle bowl with some spice and flavor in the winter, this place will get you together.Ive been here maybe 4 or 5 times now, and never had a bad meal. Really dug the sichuan beef bowl. Dumplings in chili oil are pretty good too. Also recommend the guo bao rou. You do have to ask for the chinese menu, otherwise you're gonna get the one with almond chicken and pepper steak and that kind of stuff. Big con is they use plastic chopsticks here. Maybe it's just me but plastic and metal chopsticks are a personal pet peeve of mine. Other con is the stuff on the chinese menu is alot pricier than the Americanized menu and it's a little above the price point a place of this calibur should charge. The noodle bowls are under 10 but everything else is 15 and up. I just feel like no restaurant in a strip mall should charge 20-30 dollars for entrees. You can't. And then they have lunch specials for 6 bucks where you get a ton of food, i really don't understand the reasoning. But yunno, folks can charge what they want.On the inside, not much to look at. Staff is cool. I'd say try this place out if you're within 15 minutes of it. Otherwise there's better places in ann arbor, Madison heights, novi, etc. Its definitely a step above a typical cheap chinese take out spot.

I usually love this place. Food is always good, soups are delicious. Today I switched it up and got beef with broccoli. Sauce was good, veggies good...beef was inedible. Very gummy. Almost like they flash boiled it with a light coating of corn startch. Very weird. I tried chewing it and was like crewing gum. Maybe a bad beef day??? Not sure. Still 4 out of five because everything was great.

I used to live in Whitmore Lake and I absolutely loved the Chinese place there. I moved to Canton last year and have tried several local places and haven't found any that I loved until I found Kung Po House. The crab Rangoon actually taste like it has crab in it. Chicken is always very clean and the sauces are not overly sweet. Soups are perfectly seasoned not overly salty. Plus the prices seem to be reasonable for the area. Whenever I want Chinese this is my go to place.

As of April 9, 2017 there is no sort of alternate/Chinese menu where there is different or perhaps more authentic food. The food was fair for the price, but there are other places that are much tastier/cheaper within 10min. I was really looking forward to their alternate menu that other reviewers touted. People were polite, but ya, there is no alternate/Chinese menu. Bummer.
