Janice, one of our favorite bartenders and servers, helped us tonight. The bar staff here is so friendly. Still my fav local Rochester bar. Parking lot. Beautiful patio on the creek. OG front section. Good selection of local beers and liquor. I hope they carry Detroit City Lady of House gin again. Was my fav and the only suburban bar that carries it. Vegomatic tacos are a great vegan choice. Plenty of meat and seafood options too.

The new owners (Kruse) and operating manager purchased this existing business several years ago. It's a very modest building with a charmed location on Rochester Rd, along the beautiful Paint Creek and abutting the gorgeous Rochester Park. They added a deck in the back allowing patrons to enjoy the very special setting. It's always busy and a wait not unusual. They try to create a buzz of energy with several TVs all around. We've eaten at the PCT a couple times and have had attentive expedient service. Though I couldn't say they added any value. But, perhaps that's expected for a tavern (?). The first time we ate here the food was good. The second, we had the Smash Burger, burger of the month. Geesh. Whatever the creator saw in the creation, it was a miss for us. The meat quality and flavors were not high or satisfying. For $40 for 2 burgers with house chips (includes tax and tip). I would have appreciated a finer meal.

Place has a good vibe. Also has a small bit of outdoor dining. Nice craft beer selection and full bar.I had the Fried Perch sandwich which I'm sure would've been tasty but the perch was overly fried and was more like perch jerky. Tator tots were seasoned and great. Service from the bar was adequate.

Good food, good service. Good environment. You get the old "dive" bar up front and a bigger brighter dining area decorated with a hanging wood canoe and other boat house style decor in the back. Nicer weather allows for outside deck seating along the Paint Creek. Great venison chili. Quality oysters. Warmest room in the place is the bathroom.

Foods were bit salty for me. Service was good. She made sure that our foods came at the right timing. They have both indoor and outdoor seating on patio, which is excellent. They have parking lots as well.

We stopped in on a whim, having heard about this place for years and just leaving the park that it sits next to. It has a "bar" feel to it with lots of noisy chatting tables of patrons. Our server was Zoey and I really liked how personable she was. She was helpful in making menu selections and managed our expectations when hubby ordered the special Bloody Mary with food stacked on it (pictured).Drinks were excellent - Bloody Mary was not super spicy and the food on top was really good! I had the Michigan Cherry Lemonade and if you liked Shirley Temples when you were younger, you'll love this. You cannot tell it has liquor so beware!Hubby had the Irish Nachos - they are made with homemade potato chips with all the toppings. We could not finish it. I had the Cheeseburger sliders with Tater tots. Food was good - the choices we made were a little on the "bar food" side but that's okay. Nothing disappointed. If you like a casual place that's a little on the noisy side when it's full, this is your vibe.

I stopped in after work for the tavern's happy hour. My party was able to get outdoor seating right next to the Paint Creek. The view was great but the Cheeseburger sliders and Pretzel Bites knocked it out of the park.

The outdoor seating along the creek was very nice. The table was dirty and so were the plates. The waitress didn't come to our table right away and only another table was outside at the time. We have never been there as we told her so we ordered the lunch special to start for us to share. Her expression on her face was rude. After the lunch special which was a hamburger, fries and miller beer, we ordered clam chowder and a couple different beers. The fries and clam chowder were delicious. The hamburger was good too.We were not asked how we wanted the burger cooked but it came out well, just the way we like it.

This place has pretty great atmosphere and a awesome outside dining but the food just does not cut it.The seafood poutine was not that great, but not terrible. I get that an average at best. My wife and I each got a twin blackened fillets, and we were both disappointed. The food came out ice cold, and we took it back. Even after setting it back it was barely room temperature and the fillets had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. My 7 year old son even said they were terrible. Unfortunately for us I do not see us coming back as a Kruise restaurants have all gone way downhill these last several years.

This place is great! I love being on the little creek. It's super pretty in the winter sitting near the window. It's fabulous to see people getting out walking and enjoying nature even in the cold. In the summer grab an outdoor table and listen to the water rushing by. You forget you are on Main St in Rochester. Small town vibes. Food is great. I've eaten here 3-4 times now and I can't wait to go back. My friends and I enjoy the big booths for visiting while we split some appetizer. Ashleigh usually serves us and she is awesome. She knows the menu and helps out. You can tell she enjoys her job and working here. Thanks Ashleigh and Paint Creek for serving up delicious food , in a great location at a reasonable price.
