First off, I've been coming here for years and it's been a reliable standby- a great menu of excellent and simple (enough) dishes, a well curated wine list, excellent outdoor and indoor seating options (depending on the season), heavy pour with mixed drinks, great desserts. Anyhoo when I came back to town to reunite with good friends, it was top of the list. I called ahead a few days to ask for a reservation for 19, separate checks... and they willingly accommodated. The service was excellent, several friends commented on how good their food was, they didn't push us out so we could linger. You knocked it out of the park again, Knights Downtown. Thanks for being my favorite downtown restaurant!

Agree with a lot of the other posts--just okay. They crammed every table they could into the space and it felt like I was eating on an airline tray table at our four top that should have been a two top. Food was also just okay--my burger was falling apart and had soaked through the bottom half of the bun by the time I got it like had I ordered delivery. Waiter was also nice enough, but doing double duty as bartender and stopped by three times from the time we walked in to the time we paid. That said, I had my kids with me and that's where this place sort of redeemed itself. First, the kids menu is shockingly cheap--like $7 per kid, which these days is a crazy deal. Also, they had honest to goodness Kraft macaroni and cheese on the menu, which candidly every restaurant with a kids menu should have. I don't care how great your truffle/breadcrumbs/nine cheese blends are--99% of kids will eat Kraft's best and reject anything else. I make no apologies for this and good on Knights. So taken together, I guess good place for kids and ask for a booth? Maybe would have a different experience if I went all out on steak and seafood, but having eaten at some pretty legit steakhouses in Chicago and NY I suspect from what I saw that the rave reviews there are from folks who just haven't had better. To be just a bit of a snob, this place was giving off big "just down the road from the convention center" energy and wouldn't last six months in a major market; that said, would probably return for the blue box special.

This was our first time dining at Knight's Steakhouse, and while we had a reservation, the experience was a bit uneven. We started with the arancini, which was tasty, but unfortunately, the frying was inconsistent, resulting in some pieces being overcooked and tough. For our entrees, we ordered the prime rib and the blackened snapper with peach chutney. The prime rib, while good, wasn't the most flavorful I've had. It was originally served with a baked potato and steamed vegetables, but our server graciously allowed us to substitute the potato for asparagus. The snapper, Cajun seasoned and pan-seared, was served over rice pilaf topped with peach chutney and mixed steamed vegetables. Again, our server offered a substitution, and we opted for the mushroom risotto in place of the pilaf. Both entrees included a choice of soup or salad. The asparagus was thick and the risotto unfortunately lacked seasoning. We also had to request drink refills, and our server failed to mention the upcharge for the side substitutions until we received the bill. Finally, we shared a slice of key lime pie for dessert, which was disappointing. Even the key lime pie from Trader Joe's is far superior.

We had an excellent lunch experience at Knight's in As Arbor. The cocktails and lunch menu items are outstanding. The hot honey fried chicken on a biscuit is absolutely a must try. The service was friendly and prompt. We got a nice table for a party of six right by the bar area which worked out really well for us. The ambience is a bit traditional but quite pleasing.

The service was wonderful! Our waiter was attentive, kind and helpful. The food was nothing spectacular but overall I'd say it was good. I wouldn't rush back here or say it's a favorite spot, but I enjoyed the decent meal!

The restaurant suffers from an identity problem. It does not know whether it is a steakhouse or a sports bar. As soon we were taken to our table, we passed by a large bar area with several seats still available. A solo visitor may be able to dine without a reservation by sitting at the bar.Fortunately, the bar was not excessively noisy. Unfortunately, there was a large party seated at the nearby table and directly in front of a television. They thought this was a sports bar and often shouted at the television showing a college hockey game.I ordered a bottle of wine. Because our waitress was inexperienced at uncorking, she had to ask for a more experienced waitress to uncork it. The food was okay. The Fried Brussels Sprouts tasted great especially with the maple-mustard, balsamic reduction. Unlike our experiences at other steakhouses, the waitress never inquired about the filet mignon or the prime rib. I had expected to have been asked to cut the steak to verify it was cooked appropriately. Not sure why the brownie sundae was named Brownie Bottom Sundae since the brownie is typically on the bottom and the ice cream on top. In either case, it tasted like any other brownie sundae. When even a larger party was seated at another nearby table, I knew it was time to go whether or not the dessert was finished.

Got a reservation so no problem with getting a seat. We were greeted and immediately seated. Ethan was our server and he did an excellent job! I tried both the Mussel sausage gumbo and Black and Blue pork chops. Both were excellent. The whole staff there really hustles to keep the restaurant clean and strive to make all the customers happy. I am so glad I was able to come back and enjoy another excellent meal at Knight's Ann Arbor Downtown.

Place was alright and it's a little tight space. Waiting took an hour. We had a party of 4. They sat us in a very tiny table where it was hard to fit all the food on. The waitress was nice. Food was ok.

The food was good not great! Hanger Steak good lots of flavors. Chicken breast sandwich had too sweet of a sauce on it. Will try again and possibly change it up! Service was great nice waiter! Tight tables and people were clueless that they were sitting out too far, all in all a meal experience.
