Knapp's Donuts

Caught may attention while our car stopped for the red light. So we made a right turn and went back to buy donuts. I was planning on watching my calories for today...but after having one bite...keep on adding one after another. First tried the apple fritters, doesn't look appealing but the flavor is so sweet and the dough melts on your mouth kind of feeling. They open at 6am and we went there almost closing time at 2 pm. Lucky enough there were a few flavors left like apple fritters, chocolate glaze with sprinkles, French cullers and custard cream filling. Highly recommend this donut place before or after stopping by bordens!

Grabbed some donuts for the staff here, early too, since it sounds like they run out by late morning. Custards look good from here. I finally made it here before they closed their doors for the day, better to come just after 7AM or earlier to get the full options. ;)I grabbed a half a dozen donuts. 2 cinnamon sugar, an Apple fritter, cinnamon, sour cream and a custard with chocolate on top. The cinnamon sugars were okay, as was the fritter donut. The cinnamon sugar are pretty standard.The custard with the chocolates topper was the better of all of the donuts selected. The custard was packed full, creamy, slightly sweet and tasty. The sour cream had a nice crunchy crust to it, dough was moist and nice inside too. The cinnamon donut was soft, super fresh and yummy too, more cinnamon swirl would have made it tastier for me. The cinnamon sugar donuts were decent. $8.75 for a half a dozen donuts, not bad and they take credit card here, nice. Service is quick and easy too.

Just ok. Definitely a casual, take-to-go kind of donut shop. The location in a strip mall made for easy parking. Service was efficient but not overly friendly. I tried a few different kinds to get a sampling, and the cinnamon sugar was by far my favorite - the inside was light and fluffy. Unfortunately, I was eating the "nutty" donut and found part of it wasn't cooked all the way on the inside. I would also pass on the French crueller next time. On the bright side, I thought my order was very affordable but note they do have a $5 minimum for cards.

The best donuts ever!! Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Decent pricing. Conveniently located in downtown Rochester.

Best donuts in town, just get there early for the vanilla iced long johns. I will try getting up early to call and have them hold!

Great donuts-they always run out of cinnamon rolls though! Fritters are also a safe bet!

Best doughnuts ever! So fresh and the people there are so friendly! Love this place. Definitely my favorite spot for doughnuts.

Not much to look at for ambiance but the donuts were solid. Better than your average chain. Dough was airy, fluffy, and the right amount of sweet without being overly sugary.

Absolutely the best donuts, large, many flavors, fillings and glazed with thin coating to top them off! The service is friendly and efficient. Smiling faces always greet you across the counter. Our only choice for at least 40 years.

Although I think Knapp's has probably the best donuts in the area, I was extremely disappointed today when I went there this morning to get some Paczki's and the price had almost doubled from last year. Half dozen - $22.00 and a dozen - $38.00 that is ridiculous and unacceptable! It's bad enough that a dozen donuts costs $20.00 (sugar & flour!!) I know everyone wants to say it's the inflation But this is price gouging! I'm sorry but this is very disappointing!
