Wife and I stopped here, now the meat here is good and good prices ,but service sucks ass. Come up to the register to check out, the young lady just leaves, don't cut out her light , don't say anything. A guy comes up and says, Oh she must have went over to the lotto machine so people comeing up in line thinking she was coming right back cause she left light on. so after waiting a while, Aribdic guy behind the glass just ass bad he look up don't do anything, then everyone got tired of waiting, went to the poor young lady left to take care of everyone, But 10 minutes earlier it was 3 registers open with 3 people standing there!! Wife said, go to Meijer don't go to this Bum store, should have listened.

I shop here weekly, and am a comparison shopper. King Cole daily prices are comparable to Super Market non-sale prices, but there sale items are often a real steal. Like Kroger or Meijer, the store marks items down as they approach their expiration, usually considerably more that at the Big Stores. They have great non-advertised specials, that often include organic or gluten-free items, as well as locally baked bread and rolls. They have consistently low prices on bread, milk and other staples. The staff are far more friendly and helpful than I have found at big stores, and the Jitney service is a bonus for those who do not drive. Free ride with a 75.00 purchase. When I take people from other communities to King Cole, they come back whenever they are in the neighborhood

I stopped in here because I needed a few things and I was so shocked by how high the prices are. The place is not Whole Foods or Kroger but the prices are high like them. All the meat and produce quality is so average, very standard but those prices watch out!

I'll start with the staff. The people on the floor and registers have always been helpful and friendly. My rating of 2 is about the quality of product sold there, in particular the fresh produce, meat and dairy. The "fresh" chicken seems to be an ongoing problem. Many times it is spoiled directly from the package or does not hold in the refrigerator, up to the expiration date. The produce can be iffy, as well. Somethings that are in plastic have had signs of decay, such as liquidy spinach; moldy zucchini, still at full price. Pricing can be high, unless you are shopping their specials, which usually means it's food on its last leg. The same is true for dairy, like half and half. Many of the endcaps are full of close to or recently expired food. These foods are sometimes intermingled with other foods, with notice that they are still deemed fit to eat. King Cole is simply convenient, due to limited choice, in the area. There are things there that are fit to eat. The selection of seasonings and some ethnic foods has expanded. As you would anywhere, make your selections carefully (especially in the areas I mentioned) and pay close attention to those dates.

Pretty big and good selection for a locally-owned grocery store. It's all your basic supermarket brands so don't expect many organic/natural/artisanal options. Prices are not cheap, but not outrageous if you're just picking up a few things. Probably not the best place to do your weekly grocery shopping.

I wish I could put no stars at all. Very bad customer service, the groceries are overpriced and the quality of the food is never good. The meat is always dark and looks to be going bad. Not an asset to the community in any way.

This is my Neighborhood store, so I shopped here pretty frequently before Covid. The friendly staff and the competitive prices on basics like bread and milk, make it my go-to store. I still try to get over for their circular and unadvertised specials, which often offer far better pricing than big box stores. As a Senior Shopping I appreciate little things like secure parking close to the store, being helped with carrying groceries, and the reliable Jitney service. When I do have an issue with a purchase, I find the manager courteous and prompt with adjustments or refunds. Since the managers are always available, and visible, lines never build up, as they do at some stores. Any employees on the floor are always willing to check a price, find an item, or help with lifting or reaching.I love that I can find items ethnic essentials like Masa Harina and Rice Flour, Gluten-Free, and Vegan products. I am impressed that they will order items I request.I appreciate having a store I can walk to, find what I need at a price I can afford, and have it rung up with a smile
