So glad we decided to give this restaurant a try!!!! The ambiance is very chill and comfortable. The service is super friendly and attentive. The food was flavorful, good portions, and beautiful presentation. Though the menu is pretty small, my husband and I are looking forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu!!! I would highly recommend trying this place out.

We went on a week night and no one else was there. First bad sign, Food was inedible. Ambience and decor was cold and lacking. Would not recommend.

I was so excited to finally try Kim's Bap and I had a great experience! The atmosphere is calming, with warm lighting and plants. My server was very kind! She went over the menu with me and I decided on the spicy pork bulgogi. I thought it had the perfect amount of spice and would definitely recommend it. I will definitely be back to try the beef bulgogi soon.

Woo didn't expect a Korean restaurant of this caliber here but wha la here we are. Everything was yummy and unique from the hand towel creation piece at the beginning to the 'sets' of food we got. My sons favorite was actually more of a side dish - the dumpling soup. He also thinks the ambiance is 'cool.' And tell me where you can get kimbap like this!? Nowhere that I know of - even in Troy/Madison heights area.Service was also pretty good considering there was just 2 ladies running the whole joint with both doing everything from taking orders and cooking etc. That is pretty amazing in itself! We shall return!

Very new, still working out kinks. Used to be Sushi Yeoubi and it's not clear if there's any relation. Kim's Bap has a fairly small menu that seems to be authentic. Coincidentally, I met a Korean woman a couple weeks after visiting who told me that the food is not authentic; I will take her at her word.To me, having only passing familiarity with Korean food, the menu did not seem Americanized in the least. And the only seated table was four Asian people in their 20s speaking what might have been Korean. Only 10 menu items, and none sound particularly approachable to someone who isn't open to Asian food. I would not bring my parents here.I love bibimbap and, since cockle bibimbap was the only option, I tried it. Turns out cockles are like clams and are surprisingly good. Not sure I liked it better than tofu or beef, but I really couldn't complain. The kimchi was spicy, the green beans were even spicier, and the other accessories were all nicely done. I was surprised that the meal came with hot and sour soup - it was very good. We also got the galbi (which I expected to see as kalbi; apparently they are interchangeable transliterations), beef short ribs. Tender, tasty, would definitely order again. They also gave us a few mini pancakes. Loved them!

Authentic food, family run. The menu is simple, so there's no overthinking it. I got bibimbap and my spouse had the bbq ribs. The portions were excellent, and all the small sides were great accompaniments to the main meal. The service was friendly and informative. No frills in the decorations, but an intimate space for great Korean food! We will definitely go back.

Every time I visit here, it feels like being invited to a friend's place. Homey food & atmosphere. Friendly service. This time we had the daily special, which was spicy pork stew. Something you can't find at a typical Korean restaurant.

First off, the lighting in the room is so cool! That, along with the music, makes a very comfy, calming environment. When we (my mom and I) first walked in, we were greeted with a smile, and she directed us to our seats. They give you jasmine tea and little unfoldable hand towels while you order your food. I had the kim-bap, and my Mom had the Ramen. I told the server I liked spicy food, and she gave me a bowl of spicy tofu soup on the house! I thoroughly enjoyed coming here, the authentic food makes for a great, unique experience!
