Bibimbap Burrito. That burrito has all the goodness of a bibimbap, but with a nori (seaweed) wrapper. It's like a gargantuan sushi.

Sushi was really yummy here! I made a lot of modifications with my online order (which I felt slightly guilty about lol) but they got them all right! It's located inside a business complex which I wasn't expecting so just something to keep in mind, was easy to find with the signage :) I also received a ginger salad! It was pretty empty inside, large seating area, and the staff were very friendly during my pickup. Everything was fresh, I would definitely recommend!

Delicious food and great service! They have an entire vegetarian section of the menu but it's really vegan! So many options for us herbivores. We tried the dolsot hot stone bibimbop, the bibimbop burrito, and several of the rolls. can't wait to go back!

I'll definitely be back here! I saw that Kanbu had a location on Eisenhower now, and was curious. I like their downtown location - good sushi (though would be better if they had alcoholic beverage options), so wanted to see if this location was as tasty. I didn't realize it was in the office building there! Was interesting (but not hard) to find, following the signs after walking in. And the space itself ended up being cute! Lots of seating, airy and bright. Service was quick for a later lunch on a Friday. We were in and out in probably about 40min. I got the Lunch Special with two sushi rolls, a more classic option. I tried the salmon avocado cucumber roll and spicy escolar roll. The meal came with miso soup and salad. (Minor note but the salad was dressed so heavily it made it a little hard to eat for me.) Hit the spot! Liked the salmon roll a little more. Good ratio of fresh tasting fish and rice. Good value as well - lunch came out to less than $15 (pre tip). They also have a wide variety of other options, if you're feeling adventurous! Next time I may try a sushi burrito. They also have poke bowls, and a number of non-fish savory options.

Kanbu is a true hidden gem. Love the fact that they aren't downtown, they have a huge, marked veggie menu, and everything is so fresh! The sushi was excellent and the bolsot bimimbop was tasty, too! There's plenty of seating and lots of fun little snacks for your way out! Can't wait to go back soon!

In this life, there are a few things that are guaranteed. But, I will make two guarantees for you right now:1) if you like Asian cuisine with a creative flair, you will love it here.2) you will have an incredibly hard time finding it.There's no street sign to tell you there are any restaurants here. And, even with the address, you will pull up to this office building and swear that there must be some mistake. Even as you bumble your way through the building, passing a snack bar ("is that it??" you may wonder), you may think that you wasted your time.Fortunately, the time you lose trying to figure out where the heck the place is will be more than made up by the incredibly fast service. A cup of tea is $3.50 vs $4.50 for a pot of tea. The pot comes with a really tiny cup, maybe 2 ounces worth, but there is plenty for at least two people.I ordered a Bibimbap Burrito. This sounds like the sort fo thing I might create late at night after spending too much time in a hookah lounge. The burrito is downright heavy: it seems that the created a bowl worth of bibimbap and wrapped it up. There's a lot here, and it's delicious. The only thing missing from the bibimbap experince is that there's no crispy rice, which you'd get if it were served in a bowl. But, the flavors are fantastic. And, it's not wrapped in a tortilla: instead, there's a sheet of nori, so it's like a gargantual sushi roll. There are an assortment of sauces available; I picked eel sauce. This was served with a miso soup. Nothing fancy, and not much in the bowl except for a few tiny tofu cubes, but it was tasty. Not realizing how enormous that beast of a burrito was, I also ordered 2 eel sushi. They were flawless. The rice was clearly very recently cooked (as with the burrito), since it was still warm. I savored every bite. The prices are reasonable here, too. There are traditional dishes (like bibimbap in a bowl), but there are also cool twists on the traditional. There are a lot of things I want to try another tme. And, fortunately, I will know how to find the place next time.

When we were there it was pretty quiet. Clean environment and comfy booth seating--though leaning on a little sterile when there are not many people. Food was pretty good---flavors worked pretty well and fish/veggies tasted fresh. Sashimi was especially good. The mango roll was tasty--a little unique--kinda like a desert sushi with light flavors but it worked well. Only thing was the rolls could be rolled tighter. They fell apart from the larger rolls (mango and spring) to even the California roll. The chopsticks did give splinters though so be careful when breaking them.We had the green tea and the citron (more of a sweet citrus taste) both were good. The pots come with tiny 'shot' like glasses that kept it warm and easy to share. We personally drank a pot each and mixed the flavors. Green tea was just a bagged one while the citron looked like it was loose leaf.

This spot is a little hard to find, tucked inside a large office building. The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming. The menu is huge with options for sushi, suhshi burritos, noodle dishes, poke and so much more. We tried the chicken katsu appetizer, which was not that good. The chicken could of done with more flavoring and the breadcrumbs were falling apart when I tried to eat it. The spicy cali roll and Scotland roll were pretty good and tasted fresh. Not as good as other sushi spots in AA. My husband got the tuna poke and enjoyed it.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. It's our go-to spot for sushi. The poke bowl is generous and well balanced with seafood, vegetables, and rice. The restaurant is clean and neat but a little stark in ambience. Service is great and polite but not especially engaging.

I had lunch w a Kanbu regular - he's very discerning, lived a few years in Japan, and it's his favorite spot. I'm not a sushi expert but I know what I like and found the food wonderful, fresh w excellent sauce and the portions were big enough that I brought half home. Service was attentive and friendly. We had tuna and cucumber burritos and I can't wait to start exploring the huge menu. It is tucked into the lobby of the 777 building but I think you can always be sure you won't wait and easy parking. Heading back for dinner next.Loved it!
