Kalindi's Cakes and Pies

Small but mighty bakery tucked away in a strip mall on 10 Mile and Kelly. I saw lots of savory items that looked delightful like a chicken pot pie and a veggie lasagna but today the banana cream pie caught my eye. Wow! I loved every bite. It's not overly sweet and I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh banana slices inside. The owners are very nice. I will be back when I'm in the area

I stopped in for a chicken pot pie (they are DELICIOUS), and chose to try the coconut cream pie. The lemon meringue pie was tempting!! Small little spot off the 10 mile exit off 696. Just a half mile off the exit. They have pineapple upside down cake, lemon squares with crumbs on it. They even have keylime cheesecake. My eyes are bigger than my stomach purchase here for sure. Two pineapple upside cake slices (they are big), lemon square, lemon blueberry pound cake, zucchini and banana bread, peanut butter chocolate bar. $42.33The lemon blueberry loaf was a bit dry, there wasn't a lot of blueberries in the loaf, the icing is sweet. Lemon square flavor was okay, the crust was too hard and too thick for my liking, not an ideal ratio. Pineapple upside down cake was pineapply, but not for me. The banana walnut bread was so-so, way too dry though. The zucchini bread was pretty good, not dry. The peanut butter chocolate squares were the best of all of the items purchased.

A while ago I had read a post on Facebook regarding the Grand Opening of a new bakery. Finding myself in the area I decided to stop in and give them a try. Do not let the storefront which looks small fool you! There is a grand selection of many different types of deserts and pre-prepared meals. There are pies that come in a regular, small and different flavors. You may purchase a full cake or a generous piece of layered cake that is about 4X4. I would rather buy different flavors by the piece so that I or my guests can enjoy a smorgasbord of desserts ! There were also a variety of small cheesecakes that could feed 2 maybe 3. I brought a piece of chocolate chocolate cake, lemon, carrot cake and key lime cheesecake. Each and every flavor was just fabulous. I HAVE TO SAY THE CARROT CAKE WAS THE BEST I HAVE HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME! The lemon too... everything. We enjoyed everything. SURPRISE, they also offer gluten free cupcakes too. On this particular day I purchased the carrot cake flavor. If you did not say anything you would not have known this was gluten free. The cake had the same yummy flavor and was very moist. The location is very easy to find. Take the time to check them out. You will not be dissatisfied!Oh, you can pre-order a variety of what looks like 2X2 inch pieces of cake as well.

We stop here for the first time to get some baked goods for my birthday dessert and we loved everything that we got (coconut cream pie, apple dumpling, cassata cake) and definitely planned to go back! We were also offered a free cookie each since it was our first time and the peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies were great! The gentleman helping us out was very nice. My only suggestion would be to have signs in the case letting you know what the items are, the cost, and if they contain any common allergens. We had to ask him to describe every item for us.

Kalindi's is a great bakery that also has carryout meals that vary and most are easily enough for two people. Kalindi and Don are very accommodating and I'm never disappointed in my purchase. From petit fours & carrot cake to meatloaf & quiche, they do it all!

So many good things! I love oatmeal raisin cookies and this place has the best, the best that I've ever eaten.. thank you so much!

First time using Kalindi's. Our oldest daughter was getting married, and I needed 170 cupcakes in two different flavors on the day of the wedding. The order was there when I went to pick it up and the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were fantastic. The people loved them. I would definitely call on Kalindi's for any of my baking needs. Highest marks!!!!

Chicken Pot Pies are to die for. I served them to family today and they loved them. Huge chunks of white chicken in a delicious gravy with a flaky crust. Can't find a better pot pie! I had called to see if I needed to order and was told "no, we have them everyday." They were honest. I went in at 10 a.m. and Voila I came out with my pies. Give them a try. Wonderful place. I hear they make a Bumpy Cake Knockoff too. Gonna try that next.

a wonderful selection of baked goods, dinners, and there's something for everyone. all top quality . Nice people, it's worth the drive from wherever you are, you'll go in for a few things and come out with more than you planned on.
