IYKYK...We finally made it the JOT! It's been quite a few years that's we've been trying to get here but the hours are a bit challenging. It's a hidden little speakeasy located in the city! I don't want to give too much away, but we enjoyed our experience. There are so many little hidden gems in the city, if you know what where to find them.

By far the friendliest staff I've ever met and we were just a party of 4. The gentleman who's name I believe was Phillip. Sort not good with names as I am with strands.) couldn't have been more helpful from the minute we entered till the moment we said goodbye. And the table behind and next to us said the same. That was are first' time going there. It will not be ate last. I wish more local bars would go back to the hometown, my neighborhood is your neighborhood feel. My dad always talks about Cheers. It was a TV show back in the day I guess it was about a bar (I don't remember it) but I'm taking him here next weekend. And I already know he's going to luv this place.

Great drinks, great ambiance and the food here is amazing. The owner Judy makes you feel like you at home. The establishment is very well kept and would recommend this place to others

Great time! A good spot with lots of history. Apparently union folks used to/still do meet up here? I would feel weird going if I weren't invited.

I remember the first time walking into JOT. It felt like we were doing something wrong. I was a good dozen beers in when we rolled in the doors. Everybody in the place turned and looked and the phonograph started to skip. Aparently it is a private club, fortunately for us not a very exclusive one that is full of super kind and amazing members who welcome strangers like it's their business. I forget how much memebership is to JOT, it wasn't very much, and i am not sure exactly what it gets you. I'm thinking the membership off sets the cheap as hell drinks. The name implies exactly what lies inside. A random group of folks getting together for a post happy hour beer sesh and merry making. I lived on the corner of second and prentice for a while and now wish i hung out there a little more often. It is quite possibly the most off the radar bar in all of midtown. You can tell that they are open by the red neon sign in the window facing forest. A good time to check them out might be during dally in the alley. Definately hidden in broad daylight, I didn't know that it was even a bar and i had lived on the block for six months. No food, just straight booze, and a good time.
