We went right when they opened and it was nice because it wasn't super filled with people. The shake was the sugary goodness you'd expect. For us, the burger was the star of the show. It's the Chicago burger and it was so good. We even came home and tried to replicate it.

I made a reservation with two of my girl friends for dinner before a concert at LCA. The vibe here was super fun, and I was impressed with how fast the food came out.I ordered a root beer float and a loaded grilled cheese. The float was tasty, but it didn't have much root beer in it, so it mostly just tasted like vanilla ice cream. The grilled cheese had good flavor, but the bread-to-cheese ratio felt off--there was just too much thick toast, and I ended up removing the top slice. One thing I didn't love is that my girlfriends and I split the bill and on each credit card there was a credit card fee.. It didn't add that much but I think I ended up paying $2 extra just to use my card. What the heck? Overall, I wasn't unhappy with my meal, but I wouldn't say it was anything special. It was okay, but there are definitely better places to eat in Detroit.

We had my daughter's baby shower here ... our waiter was absolutely amazing but other then him the service was awful .. We arrived about 15-20 minutes before our guests were to arrive ( I realized we might not have gotten to our table that early but was pleasantly surprised the table was ready ) My handicap almost 80 y/o mom who had surgery 2 weeks ago & uses a walker was with us .. butttttt jojos never told us when we prepaid close to a $1000 that we would have an hour total for the entire shower . That seems like pretty significant information to share with us when they KNEW we were having a baby shower. I asked if I could let my mom sit at our already ready , reserved table as she was struggling to stand . ( I never in a million years imagined there would not be a single place for her to sit if our table hadn't been ready ) They told us that the hour clock would start if she sat down. They literally made her stand at the entrance. She was having real issues standing but we stood there for over 20 minutes and even seeing her struggle, it seemed like no one that worked there cared. Nor would they wave the start of the hour clock so she could sit at OUR ALREADY CLEAN AND READY TABLE.They then took the cake I spent a bunch of money on and said they would put it in the refrigerator . However when dinner was ending and I asked for the cake , they LITERALLY refused to give it to me. They said they'd give it to us as we were walking out the door.. NO ONE told us we weren't allowed to bring a cake , not even the greeter who literally smiled and took it to put in the fridge...We had 3 people not able to come to the shower and we had planned on bringing the prepaid food we'd ordered home to them .. Jojo's refused to give us their already paid for meals ($90 worth of food ) . We had also paid for a shake when we booked it and they also would not give us the shake.. it felt like they were going out of their way to be difficult. What an awful experience.. I can not think of a single time in my life that I have gotten such awful service.. I always try to be as kind and respectful to people working in restaurants as I've done it and know how hard it can be. However no matter how much I tried to be respectful and understanding, they just kept going out of their way to make the night worse. I don't understand, especially with my mom how they could have been so heartless. Not to mention this is my daughter's first baby and this is the way we get to remember what should have been a really special time . I promise, I will tell as many people as I can what an awful experience . When we reached out to express our issues this morning, we were told the managers said the complete opposite of everything we said. What motivation would we have to lie? We were asking for nothing. A simple sorry would have been nice and I would have left this as a learning moment . I have nothing to gain by complaining. Has management not asked themselves who has more motivation to lie? We have 17 other people who saw exactly what we did . Instead of the management coming through with a simple sorry , they've just continued to make a bad situation worse. What a sad , disappointing way to make a very special occasion really really awful

There was A LOT. Here's the positives first! :They had an amazing waiter that I absolutely loved, he was the best! And the decorations were super cute. Here's the negative: I booked an experience for 20+ people. I wanted to have a shower/dinner. We payed over $700 prepaid for 20 people. I called so many times just to make sure I was fine to bring decorations and such because I wanted to do everything right. They said it was fine just no balloons and we didn't bring balloons just little decorations. Not a single person told me I wasn't able to bring a cake but apparently we couldn't. They took the cake and wouldn't give it back till the end of my event. We had some questions about the time of the reservation so we called 10+ times and not a single person answered at all. They are impossible to get ahold of.. you think someone could answer considering we needed answers and just paid a ton of money. My mom got there to set up at our reservation time ON TIME. She found out when she arrived that the timer starts when someone sits down.... What timer??? No one mentioned that there was a time limit EVER. Not once when paying $700 did soemone mention a timed experience of an hour?!?. I would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS have booked it if I knew this in advance. She had an elderly with her and she wasn't allowed to sit down or the timer would start. Well everyone was trying to find parking it's Detroit on a game day... so yes people may be late but we were never aware of a timer. We had 3 people not show up and we asked for to-gos since we already payed... well no we couldn't do that. Okay well then I'm gonna get a shake. Well no we had to pay for it! And then I got up to talk to others and my food and my shake were thrown away (the shake I PAID FOR) . I'm assuming it was their attempt to rush us out of there.Anyways back to the cake my mom made and spent days making no one got to eat. We told them we had plates and silverware they said no we couldn't eat it at the restaurant. Which I was never told. So besides the nice decor and great server I will NEVER return. And I will continue to inform everyone how bad it was for us! Sincerely,A really upset guest that paid $700.

This place is what Detroit 90's dreams are made of! Super modern 90's vibe inside, with great tunes dropping on the regular. A little homage to Detroit/Michigan grown celebrities (thats cool.) A litle polaroid wall for fun. A BOOMBOX ON THE COUNTER?1 Love it! All of it!It was a Friday night. Our second stop in Detroit. We came for the shakes! What we didn't expect is a really cool Halloween/fall set up outside and pumpkin painting happening inside! (It was the weekend after Halloween but hey, that's cool.) I went with the Gold Digger shake and my daughter went with some cady based shake. They looked amazing! But I am sad to report it fell a little flat. The cookie was hard (who doesn't love soft cookies?!) The toffee donut hole lacked flavor and was not soft like a great donut should be. Wheres the toffee flavored ice cream? It was like a plain vanilla. The best bites were at the bottom where that tasted like toffee. Lacked consistency. This place has a lot going for it. Make JoJo's great! (Please work on it.)

Jojo's is so-so. Located in the great social district ambience inside and out had classic diner vibe going for it. Unfortunately, Drinks and food were "meh". Ordered tower of onion rings for appetizer which were decent with a honey mustard and chipotle ranch for dipping sauces. We shared a "Cerial Killa" milkshake with bourbon added. For $20 I was expecting better. The shake tasted more like melted ice cream by time it came to us and was very disappointing in flavor. For entree ordered the Honey Chicken sandwich which lacked much honey making it very dry and mediocre at best. In short, go next door to Frita Batidos which has way better food.

We went here before the Blink 182 concert, so it was busy. Though I feel like things could have been better. The water tasted off, maybe because the waters didn't come with ice. It took a while to get our food ordered. I ordered wings with sauce on the side and they drenched them in sauce and didn't ask if I wanted ranch or blue cheese. The milk shakes were too much and the actual milkshake liquid didn't taste great. Maybe one of the basic shakes would have tasted better without all the extras. It took a long time to get a basic order of wings and waffle fries to our table. They have QR codes to pay the bill but that didn't work. I felt like the menu is limited. It has an extensive dessert menu, though I wouldn't recommend one of the special milkshakes. It's all fluff and then you barely can drink the darn thing because of all the stuff in it. It has a nice vibe, it was playing blink 182 like music which was nice. The TVs had on old Tv shows which I found fun. Old as in 90s and 2000s shows.

It was around 1:40p on a Monday. Very few people inside, which was ideal. We were seated immediately. The server took a little time to get to us but no big deal. She spoke very quickly and would not stop bouncing (I figured she needed to go to the restroom). She left to let us look at the menu which she didn't need to do because we were only there for something sweet. She took so long to come back, I actually tried to order at the bar. Several minutes later she told me I wasn't allowed to have the flavor shake I wanted to the toppings of a different shake. She then told my mother it was too late for what she wanted...which it wouldn't have been if she didn't take so long. Also, the music is too loud to converse and it was extremely cold. I wish yelp would allow zero stars.
