Johnny Z's Pizzeria

The slogan for Johnny Z's is "One thing Done Well" and I can 100% agree with it. It was a simple order from me and the boy: pizza and bread sticks, bread sticks and pizza. We debated adding chicken wings and a salad but, as my son pointed out, I'm fat enough so we stuck with the classics.I have not passed much onto my son but the two things that he seems to have gotten from me is a love of sports and a love of BLT pizzas because as anyone who reads my review with any regularity knows, I love my BLT pizzas. Located in a tiny little strip mall where Mt. Clemens meets Clinton Township, the pizzeria sits cozy at the end of the plaza. While they do have some seating outdoors this is very much a carry out restaurant. Upon opening up my box of yum, my first impression was this pizza looks small (we ordered a medium). I thought they accidentally gave me a small. Size notwithstanding, the pizza is excellent. The crust is absolutely perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside soft and supple inside. The Mayo is a lovely accent to the pizza, not overwhelming and the lettuce and tomato stayed fresh. I really didn't see the bacon but I could definitely taste it.The bread ticks on the other hand I was less impressed with. They seemed almost undercooked, very chewy. They did provide ranch to dip in, but honestly a little crispier and it would have been great. They had a great ratio of butter and Parmesan on it.Overall I enjoyed the pizza immensely. I would definitely order it again from Johnny Z's. Next time I might go for the wings instead.

This won't make sense unless you are a textured eater but this place has the BEST texture! We got a large square and dippers. The dippers were the most perfect textured bread I've ever eaten and I now understand why they sell a pizza with 8 corners, the corners are truly the best. I'll be getting that next time!

The best pizza we have ever had! Great service , great price. Personnel very nice and helpful. They go above and beyond to create what your taste buds want.

So of course their regular pizza is great, but my family with dietary restrictions also enjoyed their gluten free, dairy free, and plant based options. It's great that places like this have great food for everyone.

Recently ordered 9 pizzas for a party. It came on time and was very good. Several of the guests commented and inquired "where is the pizza from?" We ordered all square pizzas.

Really good pizza. Thick crispy crust and they don't skimp on the toppings I like this place lot.

I had the pizza from Johnny Z's for the first time last night after living in Clinton Township/Mount Clemens for almost four years and WOW was I impressed. The crust was thick and chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside. It wasn't soggy at all from the garlic butter. They were generous with the toppings, the olives were a little too salty for my taste but I'll skip those next time. The sauce had really great flavor, and there was just the right amount of cheese. Overall a great pizza and a good experience. Will 100% be coming back!

Pizza and customer service are always top tier and the breadsticks are so addictive. Definitely a place i always recommend to my family and friends.
