Johnny Black’s Public House

The vote for a Friday night was to try the Waterford location. I was super surprised at how empty the parking lot was at 7 on a Friday night! I thought maybe because none of the popular teams were playing a game that night‍we walked in and it was so dark, lol. I'm not visually impaired, however, anyone who is, it might be an issue. We actually didn't even see the hostess, just heard her voice greet is. Seating wasn't an issue at all as there were tons of empty spots. It's super nice inside, lights draped from the ceiling, wood plank flooring, garage doors that are open when weather permits. There a million televisions, you wouldn't miss any event if you're worried about timing of watching a football that's airing the same time as a basketball game.We were greeted immediately with drink orders taken first. Fried pickles were the choice for an app to start. We felt bad, however there was an uber long hair that we pulled from the tray! I know it happens, just ick. The pickles themselves were just okay.The main meals were pizza, chicken caprese, and the Mac n cheese with chicken. The pizza is square deep dish and the menu doesn't specify the crust as being all square or deep dish. That was also just okay. The chicken caprese has great presentation and that was delicious with the asparagus. The Mac n cheese was missing the chicken. When the sliced thin piece of chicken was delivered, it was dry. Mixed in the Mac n cheese, it was also just okay.Overall, I would go back to try something different. Our waitress was super sweet and apologetic about the lovely strand in the pickles. Also, it's kid friendly and super spacious inside.

Johnny Black's public House is pretty solid. You can usually always get in and get a table the place is pretty big, with a Long bar probably 40 seats. Plenty of TVs all the way around and a decent little patio with big open doors for fresh air in the nice weather. The menu is typical bar food and it's about average the beer choices are pretty decent, nothing special, but you'll be able to find Bud light here. I'm always looking for a deal so I come on Mondays and usually get the half off pizza. It's prohibition Pizza square deep dish and it's really good and that half off deal at Public House gets my vote and 4 starts. Check it out, come on Monday try the pizza, it's a deal, thank me later.

Johnny Black's is an awesome sports bar with good food, great vibe, and friendly efficient service. Garage doors open to a large patio in warm weather that creates a festive environment. There are many televisions and high ceilings. I highly recommend Johnny Black's.

Came here for brunch and loved it. We ordered from their seasonal menu. Which included pineapple upside down pancakes that O have to say we're amazing! Tasted just like a cake, moist, didn't need syrup but not too sweet, perfection in a pancake! I also got the sweet potatoes skillet that had ground chorizo with bite size sweet potato, peppers, a Sunnyside egg on top & avocado slices. Oh so delicious and flavorful. My friend got a regular breakfast but it was just all good food.

Was driving around and couldn't figure out what to eat. After coming out of dunhams we seen the sign for Johnny blacks and decided why not! We were quickly sat and our waitress was friendly. I orders the polish pickle and my husband had the Western burger. The pizza was good, I am a huge lover of pickle pizzas and all I can say is I just wish this had more pickles! But all in all it hit the spot. Would like to try more of their pizzas lots of unique combos!

Second time coming here. Didn't have any issues last time but I would definitely stick to the gluten free menu next time. I have been sick all day after eating a dish I thought was safe. Their drinks and the atmosphere is great. My BF got the nachos and those were phenomenal and gluten free.

I normally don't leave reviews, having worked in the restaurant industry and know how hard it really is, but this experience was so bad I am forced to warn others to stay away. We arrived at 12:15pm. The seat yourself policy was the recipe for a 10 minute wait at the table before anyone realized we were there. The place was half full with two servers and the bartender running around in disarray. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts salad with chicken and a burger. Our server disappeared and now the real wait started. And we waited.. and waited. Twenty-five minutes later the sadness came to the table. First, the burger (an embarrassment), two barely warm, dry miserable patties, unmelted cheese, and the thickest tomato slice I ever seen on a sandwich. The fries were cold and wilted. Inedible returned after one bite to be removed off the bill which to their credit did without issue (almost as if they know what they're dealing with coming out of the kitchen). The salad was a mass of oily fried Brussels sprouts (nothing mentioned "fried"on the menu, felt it should say as I was expecting a shaved cold salad based on the description). It was over dressed which brought it to almost sloppy but at least the chicken was nicely done, only redeeming quality. Oh yeah, the server gave us 25% off this too, saying she understood we had a bad experience. In short, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Feel like I could have microwaved a better meal.

Party of 10 and everyone's needs were met!Good food and service.Waitress was attentive and our order was 99% correct, wife ordered a dish without mushrooms and she still had them in her meal. The waitress offered to make it right.I ordered The Drunken Fish and it was delicious.Pretzel logs are epic!

Went out for a boys night and had phoebe as my waitress. Overall amazing service and everything came out quick food and drinks!

Phoebe was the best server great service great beer all around good experience! They were busy and still got us in right away at a table with no wait!
