Joe's ITALIAN TAKE-OUT

Well I kept hearing great things about this place so I wanted to try it again. Honestly, there are times when I rate things low because of my mood. Well, we tried it again and it was amazing! We ordered chicken Parmesan and chicken picatta. Both came with dinner rolls and a side salad. I stand by my previous comment about the salad packing a bit, but it was definitely better than previously described. The portion sizes were huge. We both have left overs! Yay!! Both meals were $23.00. Which is kind of steep for carry out, however, I felt it was worth it for the quality and portion sizes. We doordashed the food so I can't comment on service or ambiance. I'll definitely be suggesting this again.

Great food great people who run it definitely a 10/10 for everything they serve. Chicken Piccata is A1 also and the Chicken Marsala

Joe's Italian Takeout is a solid and convenient spot. The chicken pastina soup is a nice way to start off any meal. The muffuletta was really good, and is comparable to Bommarito's and Vito's, if you've ever had theirs. If you like a round, thin pizza, they have a good one here. The meatballs on the meatball sub were massive. The gnocchi was decent. The tiramisu was my favorite part of the meal, and is one of the best I've had locally. The key lime pie was enjoyable, but I preferred the tiramisu. If I lived in or around Shelby, I would frequent here.

New York style pizza shows pepperoni on it. However it's a side not something it comes with so we got a cheese pizza only. Disappointed

I stopped in this establishment to pick up a couple of submarine sandwiches on the way to a meeting nearby. The Italian subs were fantastic. I look forward to try either their pizza or one of the Italian entrees they offer. The homemade cannoli and the other deserts looked (and smelled) amazing.

I had some time to spend with my daughter and whenever we get the opportunity we look for small mom and pop pizza places. This is stop #60. We ordered a 16-17 pizza came with 8 MASSIVE slices with old fashioned pepperoni aka little pepperoni pools of grease. Pizza was cooked well and tasted great. This pizza was thin crust similar to NYC pizza. The kind you can fold in half and have the grease roll down your arm. That's quality! Don't be mistaken by the take out in the name, you can eat inside.

What a find! Thank you Instagram for another gem! We got the Italian subs on the crusty roll, pastina soup, and sausage and peppers. All was very good, had to wait a while but this is because it's all made to order. Definitely worth waiting for, too bad it so far from my house because I'd be there often!

First time trying this place I got The Italian Muffuletta bread was delicious I love sesame seeds and the bread was hard too great floor and texture I did have to add Mayo on it or else it would've been a little too dry for me. My boyfriend got the meatball sub and of course I had to take a bite too. Hands down the best meatball sub you will get, the meatballs were huge so plenty of meat/flavor and the sauce was spot on. I drive 30 minutes home and the sub was still intact and never got mushy. We also got a Dr Pepper and it seemed like the machine was down cause it was flat though. Overall though really yummy.

Ordered a Ham & Provolone cheese Muffaltta pie along with a personal NY style pizza. The Muffaltta pie was very good. Apparently they don't know how to cook things WELL DONE. The pizza was barely cooked & I specifically asked for the pizza too be cooked WELL DONE. After I prepayfor the order & even gave them a little tip, the order was not correct. Check all your food. They will try to sneak an order out of the door. The lady new my niece was picking up the order.

Amazing meatball sandwich! Nice ambiance inside. Looking forward to trying more items in the future.We are Philadelphia transplants and this place is close to taking us back to what we loved.
