Joe Kool’s of Novi

I went here with my family. They must have just opened. The outside needs a lot of work. Weeds and looks like an abandoned restaurant. I forgot what it used to be. But inside is very clean and nice. There was no one there and there were chairs on top of tables as if they were closing but it was 6pm. They don't have a lot of gluten free items but my families food looked great. I had a salad..... always a salad.......I hope they make the outside more welcoming and get some more customers. It could be a very cool place. Lots of TV's. I bet it's hard to start a restaurant in novi. It's exploding with restaurants. Staff were very friendly. I wish them luck!

I can be such a hater these days from lack luster service, mediocre food to just lousy presentation, but on this day i am here to sing a praise for Joe Kool's. We were not sure where to go for a quick bite and my wife suggested this place. I was expecting mediocre...but ordering the nachos for a dish we were splitting was just the ticket. The tray that came out was the best order of food that i have had in some time. The portion was generous, and the quality was outstanding. If you're in Novi and looking for a Nacho to split (or a lot to take home) this is should be your joint for them! Well done Joe Kool's, what a nice surprise on a Tuesday night.

This is a new place to go hang out. The food is great and the atmosphere is excellent. Very nice sports bar. My partyhad pizza, salad, fried pickles, beer, and aalcoholic cocktail. People go check out thisnew sports bar. Right across the road fromNovi's super Walmart store. You won't be disappointed. Shot out to Savae, she was ourwaitress. The wait staff all looked decent and ready to make your evening a great one.

New bar in Novi is really good. The food was good quality and service was good. There was many TVs while we were watching the games. Great atmosphere.

It is an excellent place to relax and chat with friends and family. Good prices and servicee

Sorry for the one star but to make a point and personal for me this is definitely a one timer ... - it's a new sports bar, ambiance and everything is nice and shiny and tons of big TV's, Outside still in development, Didn't go to the restroom so can't say anything about that but would expect the same, nice and shiny.- service good but don't assume and question the price and happy hour afterwards ... it seems they don't like that kind of discussion and I didn't have the energy to complain with the manager for a few $ off (see also next comment) ... - happy hour is advertised for EVERY beverage -$1 ... but keep in mind, that does NOT include regular pop, didn't know that is not a beverage ... but always happy to learn something new- a regular salad $18, and tiny tiny little piece of a wrap and handful cheap chips $12, a regular beer (Stella) $8.50 (minus $1 for happy hour) ... for my taste, and I completely agree with other reviews, WAY OVERCHARGED, even if the food was good, but after all absolutely not worth the price.- and btw. the beer is NOT priced out on the menu. I think it's supposed to be but as I asked where can I find it, the waitress didn't like the question and told me a little rough and snippy she didn't do anything wrong it's all in the computer !!! - a few customers at the bar and at 3 or 4 tables used speaks for themself, it's 6 PM on a Monday night, I really liked the Joe Kool's in Troy so I had to go, but limited menu and overcharging makes this definitely a one timer (!!!)Would definitely prefer to go to Fords Garage or Brady's Bistro Bar around the corner... just to mentioned it, book your table in advance, these places are packed ... as we learned from Gordon Ramsay, if a restaurant is empty, there is something wrong ...

The place was nice at first.took to long to get our meals.was there for x-mas office party.food and portion size was good. Need to turn down the volume a little to loud.right after leaving and got home stomach went crazy.and spent the next couple of hours in and out of bathroom. And the next day also.was curious about what was wrong.si I looked up the recent health inspection and found out why.never to return there again.

The service sucks. I have been here twice and both times I have had an awful time. It takes a full lions or redwings game to complete your experience.

The food was pretty good, but overpriced in my opinion. $15 for a patty melt and a side of fries, and $1.25 for a small plastic cup of ranch to dip in. Ugh...Speaking of my bill, I realized I was upcharged a couple dollars and some change when I received it. I presented it to the waitress and found out the following:1. My patty melt and fries ($11.99 and an added $2.99 respectively) initially showed up as $16.23. The cup of ranch dip was added into the amount. This is fine and there's no issue at the end of the day, aside from overpriced dressing, but why does the price have to be so confusing? Shouldn't the ranch be listed as a separate line item? It wasn't mentioned anywhere in the menu either for the cost... Maybe I'm overreacting a bit but I'd expect to have a clear understanding of what I owe.2. My dessert of fried cheesecake was listed at $5.99 in the menu, but showed as $6.99 on my bill. The waitress and manager had no idea or explanation for this, though they did take the charge off and correct it. Credit where it's due, but frankly it made me feel suspicious.3. I asked for the bill around 8:30pm, finally received it at 8:45 without the dessert on it, so they had to take it back. Received it again at 8:55 with the wrong amounts, then finally had the bill I finally paid for at 9:05. This is all while there were around 4-5 tables at most filled since I had gotten there at 7, and it seemed they only had one waitress hired.The atmosphere was pretty dull otherwise, maybe due to it being empty (granted it was a Wednesday), but all TVs had the same thing on and could barely hear any ambient music or anything otherwise. No attempt at making things interesting for a "bar".Overall would not recommend. You can find better food at cheaper prices elsewhere, and the shadiness around my bill made me very uncomfortable.
