Pleasantly surprised by this pizza place! It reminds of the old school pizzerias in the Downriver communities such as Vito's (from way back) in L.P. And of course Roma's Pizzeria in Southgate. In fact, based on my findings, this family owned business goes back 42+ years and 3 generations. It provides a sweet flavor that I feel is consistent with traditional Italian American recipes. Toppings were generous and tasted fresh. The crust was centered perfectly between thin & thick with a light crunch, may I add that there was no crust left on my plate! My only suggestion would be the number of slices the pies are cut into. I ordered a medium 3 topping that was cut into 10 slices, perfect for children but for adults the pizza cut into 8 slices would be perfect. I will be ordering my future pizzas from JJ's....

Not the type of person to leave a review unless it's a place I've always loved. Quality of the pizza is not nearly what it was in the past. Used to be my favorite pizza spot in the area, but it has significantly changed. The dough almost tasted uncooked, was still pretty doughy. If possible, bring back the sweet sauce and texture we are used to.

Under the original owner this place was amazing. My favorite pizza downriver. Known for their signature sweet sauce and amazing pizza. Now, under new management jjs hasn't been a priority. The new wonder is more concerned with his other business and has been lacking in hiring proper staff, just now is fixing the hours and has changed the sauce and other ingredients. Sadly jjs has lost my business. Very disappointed to notice the changes and taste how awful it is now. Shame.

Breadsticks the first time we came here were the BEST we've ever had. Loaded with butter and parmesan and fluffy/light but since then we've gotten nothing but inconsistency and either overcooked hard burnt ends of sticks or hardly zero butter or Parmesan. The pizza is not bad, I've had better but honestly the breadsticks if they could get them right and consistent would bring me back weekly!. They need to talk to their peeps/cooks!

jjs went way down hill the pizza used to be the best around to me I've been a customer for over 17 years. it was a go to but now may as well get Pizza Hut or another big box pizza. its sad to see but we prob will not order again due to last several times has been terrible. not same ingredient as was in past. rip

Pizza was good ... out of most salads at the time. The salad they did have wasn't all that great. First time though so will need to go back before I have a solid opinion. Just could of been a bad day

Very little toppings and no sauce, it was basically bland very dry cheese bread. The last 3 times I have been there it has been garbage. Needless to say I'll be supporting Riverview pizza Place from now on.
