JJ Knapps Tavern

We stopped in for a quick couple of drinks. Our bartender was fast, kind and funny. We only ate an appetizer of mini tacos that was satisfying and simple. Overall, I'd go back again to try their daily specials next time.

Great local bar. Small and cozy digs with a nice bar and laid back, friendly staff and clientele. Their burgers are great, the beer is cheap and cold. Worth a stop!

We stopped in here from a recommendation we got from a friend and absolutely will be back. The service was great and the food was delicious.The atmosphere here is a pretty solid bar / restaurant atmosphere and enjoyable for sure. The beer choice was not vast and large but had some great quality beers. I had the Reuben and would definitely get it again along with the mushroom Swiss burger my wife had.Can't wait to try some more foods at this great spot in the future

Seriously a bit divey- local bar'ish but awesome nonetheless. 2 beers (very cold beer), 2 cokes, nachos, fries and a burger for under $20 and the food was super delist! The wait staff is not going to wait on you hand and foot but hey they are polite and kind. They have a nice side deck the tables are a little awkward as they are long and set up for like groups of 10 ish bit just make yourself at home. Ask about the specials they always have something on special.

Fantastic burgers, great jukebox. I seriously had my doubts when my friend suggested we go here because he knows I love burgers. The bacon cheeseburger I had was DELICIOUS. Quality burger, we both could taste.Service was alright, the girl could probably tell her crop top and tan wasn't going to earn her a bigger tip from us, but it she did an adequate job. We would definitely go back. The burgers are better than the ones we've gotten lately from our usual place in Yale. The drinks were damn good too. Not super strong, but better than most bars lately. The place doesn't look like much, so stop in if you want a good burger.

Came in today, Saturday, for lunch after golf. The golf course recommended jj. Inside was pretty busy but we sat outside and it was only our table out there most most of the time. Service was terrific. The waitress gave us great recommendations. We had a burger and patty melt along with a saugatuck summer shandy. The burgers were great. Cooked peefectly. My specialty burger had a great combo of ingredients and was presented pretty fancy for a tavern. It was a 1/2 lb burger with fries for $10. Highly recommend.

Cute little place in Richmond nothing fancy just a little dive bar which are my favorite .. service was good . I got fried cauliflower which were ok friend got the burger special with fries which they liked alot

After work stop in.... fast service, reasonably priced and great burgers. People all end up regulars here a knapps.

Our server Denise and chef Mark absolutely killed it tonight! They had a nearly full house of thirsty & hungry folks, and they were the only two here keeping everyone fed & watered with a smile. They work like they own the place, and they don't!

Visited Jan 13, 2024 for dinner at 7PM. Parking lot was an ice rink. Stopped snowing at least 12 hours prior. Owner apparently won't spend $50 on salt and 20 minutes to spread to protect his customers. Despite the slip-and-slide, went inside and was greeted by not-friendly staff. Went to Armada Bar and Grill where parking was shoveled and salted, staff were friendly and food was excellent.
