WOW...that's a LOT of 5 star reviews!... which seems a little suspicious after my experience here. I came in midweek right around 5:20. We were two of the first to arrive. Every table (every seat, really) was marked "Reserved" but they promptly sat as at a booth and the bartender came straight away to get our drink order.The menu was was pretty concise giving me the immediate vibe that this is more of a drinking establishment rather than a dining spot. That said, my counterpart wanted to try their short rib dish which was why we came here over the China Cafe next door. BTW, they're not connected to each other, at least not by menus nor kitchens, per our server...however, they seem to share a website?!We ordered our food, and our drinks followed quickly. I will say, that the ambiance is warm and borderline romantic with nouveau accents here and there. The tiki decor doesn't really fit. It was pretty dark once you're inside. The pics make it look far brighter inside than it is, fyi.My guest ordered the short rib with white rice and a side of the Rosemary Garlic fries. The short rib was a great dish, nicely plated and an ample portion size for $44. I liked the hint of Five Spice powder in the braise liquid! This was the dish of the evening. The fries were what you'd expect from seasoned fries and an oddity to see on an Asian Fusion menu...they were OK.I ordered the Five Spice Calamari appetizer, the Spicy Shrimp dumplings, and the Firecracker Prawns for an entree. The calamari was maybe the best I've ever had from a texture and freshness aspect. It didn't have any Five Spice flavors, which was a disappointment, but overall a really impressive dish, the inaccurate description notwithstanding. The dumplings were fine and came nestled in a bowl in a soy based sauce. The apps were $16 and $14 respectively. I'd forego the dumplings at their price next time. The calamari is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, however! The prawns were huge! I was hoping the portion would be impressive and it was. I'm guessing there were 5-6 VERY large shrimp that were panko breaded and fried. They were just a little underdone but they were beautiful. Unfortunately, the "sweet Thai chili sauce" they were resting in was akin to anything you could get at Kroger. It was overly sweet and honestly, ruined the dish. At $36 for shrimp in sweet and sour sauce it was also a disappointment. We had also ordered their edamame at the recommendation of posted Yelp reviews. At $9 for edamame you'll want to forego them! The tab before tip for my two apps, the entree, the soy beans and a 10 oz beer was $87. Seemed a little steep...with service that was above average.

Yes yes yes.... I am so happy to find a cool bar with delicious cocktails in the area. The old fashioned was perfectly balanced and made with love. The staff was friendly and kept checking on us. I'll be back!

Food was incredible; the Korean wings and potstickers were the best part. I had the sushi as well and it was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. And the whole atmosphere was incredible. It was busy the entire night but we were seated in the only area where more than four people could comfortably be seated. The drinks were ok; the old fashioned was more syrup than bourbon and the purple rain looked cool but was just not that flavorful. Great food though, definitely worth a second visit.

What a decadent treat. If I die tomorrow I'll be content that I lived! Every dish and drink was outstanding. Our waitress was personable and took great care of us. The ambiance was welcoming and sophisticated. Bravo!

Nice long bar, we didn't have reservations but they accommodated us on a busy Saturday night since we only came for a drink (although the food smelled really good). I had the Purple Rain (tasted good, not strong) and my hubby had the Old Fashioned (which was good). There is plenty of parking since it's in a small strip mall. There are several Asian restaurants located here so you could always get dinner elsewhere and then swing by for a drink!

The minute you walk in you are pleasantly surprised. It's very well decorated, cozy, romantic and a perfect spot for a first date. I must say it was a bit loud though. I would suggest they add some acoustic panels to help control the noise level. The drinks were cute and the service was great. I'm looking forward in returning for the food.

Fantastic service. Wait and bar staff know the menu and have great instincts on food and drink pairing. The dragon roll is amazing. It's small and cozy inside so make reservations! Which is easy because you can text on their main line and promptly get confirmation.

We stopped in after dinner lured partially by the tiki picture in the yelp posting. Sadly, not a lot of tiki going on, but we did have some lovely drinks.The menu was enticing. We'll likely be back at some point.

Cool date spot in Novi with a good mix of Asian dynamite dishes in a cool atmosphere. Also great espresso martinis!

So sad that I didn't know about this place before! The cocktails were excellent and the food was excellent quality and delicious. The server was courteous and balanced food delivery and checking in with giving us space to chill. The music added a lot to the chill ambiance. I love the details in the decor, like the downlighting on the raindrop-textured walls and the beautiful textured winter forest wallpaper and fresh flowers in the restroom. This place is amazing and I will definitely be returning to enjoy more of the menu selections.
