Fried Cauliflower - store bought. What a shame. Easy to make from fresh, especially at a restaurant when everything is there for you.
Hot Soft Pretzels - Deep fried so much that only Paula Deen would eat them. Oh, but don't worry bc the salt will overpower everything.

Neighborhood pub, feels like a sports bar. Even though they're operating at 50% occupancy they were full for lunch.I decided to try something simple, like chicken strips with ranch. I was surprised they were scratch made at a bar, you could really tell. Delicious, and a large portion.I didn't like the yelling coming from the kitchen, a little bizarre.At least they're putting out good food.

I like this bar and the staff is great! However, the food has declined over the years. We each ordered a chicken bowl today. Got a wing bowl, which is different. Waited again for the chicken bowl, and it was covered in beef gravy. Supposed to be chicken gravy. Guess they didnt think we would notice? Bad presentation. Potatoes on the bottom, then chicken, then cheese, then chicken gravy. Simple recipe.

We stumbled on Jakes by some sort of luck. The beer menu was great. There was live Keno. We had the wings and the Leprechaun potato chips. Both awesome but the chips were outstanding. Angela our waitress was the best. So sweet and great at her job

They're never open . Hours are trash for the only bar in the area. Walked in one evening 30!min before close (which was like 10pm) and said "sorry I already did last call " . ... so I Questioned the current time versus what their hours are bar tender said " well it's at our own discretion " there was 10-15 people still there , a couple playing pool. Not that she asked but all I wanted was one night cap drink while I got a carry out order of chips /dip (pre made im sure) . Would have been in /out in 10 mins . Lastly she suggested we go to hamlin . I wonder how many other people they tell to go to one of their competitors because they're too lazy to stay open until what they tell the public their closing time is . Also they used to have decent carryout food but they lost their best cook but now their dinners are shit. Don't waste your money . If anyone in the area is looking for retail space I'm sure they'll be out of business soon.

Run and don't look back! Two friend and I went out for drinks and wanted to try this place since I recently moved to the area. Seemed normal at first. As I was getting to the bottom of my drink (crown on the rocks) I noticed what appeared to be cigarette ash on the bottom of my glass. I politely called the waitress over when she assure me it's just stains in the glass and not to worry about it. I finished my drink only to find I was drinking out of someone's ash tray. When I asked for management and told them we weren't pay by for our drinks. Management told me we would be paying for our drinks and the best they can do is refund me my drink only. I've never had such a terrible experience in my life. No app got just absolutely disgusting. Will never go back and I hope they go out of business

I am not sure how this place stays open. Posted on their menu is a message that they now include a 10% surcharge for each item you order (for economic hardship reasons - really!). My husband had a reuben sandwich and it was $17.99 plus his side which we thought was included (onion rings (about 4) this was an additional $4.99. I had a salad ($14.99) my son had wings ($14.99) and a side of fries ($4.99) - our bill was $77.00 I don't mind paying for good food, but this bar food was not worth it. We won't be going back.

This is why I haven't been here in a year, same terrible food and same draft beer selection, Cajun grouper Ruben is the size of a gold fish now. Much better places around so sad to see this place decline.
